Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were spotted having a date night last night in L.A. They arrived at the very popular Katsuya restaurant – I swear, most of Hollywood goes there for dinner at some point – and of course they had to ask the most obvious question.

The guy with the camera asked if Brad and Angelina are in competition with Nadya Suleman, or “OctoMom” as they referred to her. Ever the professionals, Angie just gave a non-commital half-smile and ignored the question while Brad just answered, “yeah, we sure are” before heading inside.
It’s too bad they had to be asked a dumb question like that, but I’m glad they got an evening to themselves. They probably made Valentine’s Day a family day like we do here, so getting to go out to dinner on the 15th was a nice way to still celebrate – plus, fewer crowds!

i didn’t like the question either but i’m really glad to see them having some quality time together. do you think it’s a post valentines date? haha.
Angie is really in her place where she can choose to ignore silly questions such as this and still manage to half-smile a bit. Maybe her being a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador & a member of Council on Foreign Relations and being able to encounter different kinds of people from all walks of life, she’s learned a great deal of diplomacy and tolerance. Her being civil is really admirable.
I really like it when Brad & Angie are having some alone time together, having some fun just the two of them. Daddy & Mommy time is really a must between the two who are definitely into a very serious relationship & commitment with each other.
It keeps the fire burning, and passion alive, not that they have less of it. In fact, they are so affectionate & passionate with each other!!!
well, at least brad and angelina look hot and they are out on a date night, shame about the lame question from TMZ!
I’m glad to see Brad & Angie find time with each other inspite of their busy schedules & having 6 kids. So true neer they need that once in a while. Thanks tmz for the video but what a d…. question. am glad to see Brad and Angie though. I think it’s a post valentine celebration as what Sherry thinks, they simply know when restaurants are less chaotic and less crowded then off they go. thanks for the video *winks … am still happy eventhough my bf didn’t call me for valentine’s and no calls even now. mmmm… I just visit pittwatch more often to get a glimpse of my fave couple and family..and interact with pittwatchers.
Hello Sherry… you always come the first when it’s about the Jolie- Pitt!! Although it’s a very short video …I’m happy to see them again. I can’t wait for the Oscar Night…and it’s less than a week…OMG !

Nice to see Brad and Angie out for date night, it is very sweet to get doll up post Valentine day and have a beautiful night out. My hubby and I do not like to go out on the actual Valentine’s day or mother’s day it is too crowded, it much better the day before or the day after. Tmz make fun of everything no matter how important, but the video is nice.
I’m so happy to see them out together! I love that they have date nights, I just wish – and I’m sure they do, too – that they didn’t have to answer dumb questions every time they step out of a car (or off a motorcycle
).

great answer but I thnk it’s the other way around. Octomom would be the one in competition. She had the plastic surgery to look like Jolie and speak like her in interviews. Just google the before and after surgery photos

Glad to see Brad and Angie out. A Mighty Heart is on showtime. There are parts in it I don’t recall seeing. She really should have been nom for this movie. She was really good. I think her performance here is better then “Changeling”. She melts into the character. She was fantastic with demonstrating childbirth considering she had a c-section. I love the song. A great movie.
As for the question. That is what TMZ does, ask stupid questions. It does not surprise me.
Found Brad and Angie’s secret to going out. They drive different cars. Notice small SUV, looks like a ford. They probably thought the papz would not be out in force on Sunday nite. But they were waiting.

I know this is off the subject, but just want to know what you guys think about Jen keeping old telephone tapes of Brad’s messages to her? This seems very odd.

Great answer from Brad and Angie to TMZ. Hope they had a nice dinner date. Gena, where did you get that piece about old telephone tapes? It sounds like from fake tabloids. If it is, do not believe it.

i guess it’s okay. she mentioned she keeps the tapes from all her other boyfriends, too. i guess it’s just like old love letters. some people do keep those as mementos. i don’t think it matters really because that’s her choice, and i don’t think it affects brad and aj’s relationship one bit. so, it’s not a big deal.
that’s a really ridiculous question to ask angie, but i guess they wanted to get her reaction. still, it was tactless, something that would be expected from a lot of these paps.

Neela, as usual, I agree! If it were JUST Brad that Jen kept old tapes of, then I might think it was a little strange. But considering she said she keeps tapes from ALL her old boyfriends, I think it’s fine, and that she just keeps them as mementos.
Oh well, it’s the paps so what can we expect? They’re not really big on asking the right questions. Still it is nice to see them out just the two of them.
What a stupid question! I agree with you, grizzly. Even children ask better questions than these stupid reporters from tmz. Nice to see Brad and Angie having some mommy-daddy time. They sure deserve it. Having six children sure is wonderful but they also need some adult time. And what a better way to have it than having a date night and going into a fancy restaurant. They sure had a great time. The video shows that Brad is a true gentleman by opening the door for Angie. I´m sure there were a lot of hand-holding and kissing inside the restaurant! Grizzly – I sooo agree with you. Even kids ask better questions than this reporter in this video. It was just a stupid question. As if this octo-mum is the first thing on Angie and Brad´s minds while they´re having a romantic date night! They were having some quality mummy-daddy time together. They deserve it once in awhile. Those moments are the glue that keeps their romance alive. With six children under 8 it´s very busy at home and their work schedules are always busy too. So they need a break sometimes too. Just like any parents with only one or two children need. The kids sure were in good hands. And who knows? Maybe Brad´s mum and dad are in LA helping them. After all they´re gonna need some extra help on Sunday while attending the Oscars. And who would be better than his parents. I´m not belittling their nannies but grammy and papa sure love to spend some quality time with their adorable grandchildren! God bless this family!
anon, after seeing the “before” pictures, I do agree that she had some work done. However, did she do it because she wanted to look like Angie? We have no way of knowing. The tabs are claiming she’s obsessed with Angie, but in her interview with Ann Curry, she said that she “Never thinks about Angelina Jolie” (and this was in response to a question that Ann asked. She didn’t just say that out of the blue!).
Who’s right? Obviously we don’t know, but for now, I’m giving Nayda the benefit of the doubt!
anon- Um, are you saying Angie had IVF to concieve the twins? Because she didn’t. She told PEOPLE in the interview with Knox and Viv’s first photoshoot that she and Brad have been “fortunate enough never to have had fertility problems” and that, if the twins HAD been concieved via IVF, “we would have been happy to discuss it”.
Anyway, Nadya recently told PEOPLE her side of the story (she says she is NOT obsessed with Angie, and in fact isn’t really a huge fan of ANY actor or actress). I urge all of you hop over to PEOPLE.com and read the article.
Granted, she may still not be telling the whole truth, but I think it’s only fair to read her side of the story as well.
Whoops! I think I just over-reacted a bit. I’ve thought about your comment some more, anon, and I’m now pretty sure that you were just explaining why the tabs are saying that, NOT saying that you personally think Nadya’s upset with Angie.
Please feel free to ignore what I just wrote. We don’t need to turn this into yet another Nadya discussion (although she’s extremely tolerant about it, and even welcomes it to an extent, I always feel bad for Sherry when we go way off-topic!).
Oh, and I also realize that more than likely you WEREN’T trying to claim that Angie had IVF, but rather saying that the tabs might think that Nadya had IVF simply to have a lot of kids and be like Angie.
