Mich- If you read that actual interview and read Angie's FULL comment about being excited for the kids to see MAMS, it's quite clear that she was referring to the fact that her and Brad's CHARACTERS fall in love during the movie (after saying what you mentioned, she goes on to say "It's going to be weird for them to see their parents fall in love and try to kill each other- Angie and Brad's MAMS characters were assains-or something to that effect.) , NOT about her and Brad falling in love on the set in real life!

Jah- I couldn't agree more! I, too, don't see what's so Earth-shattering about the kids being "chaotic" or Shiloh calling a nanny "mom" (if that's even true.). Angie and Brad themselves have admitted that the kids can be a bit wild. In the PEOPLE interview accompanying Knox and Viv's first photos, they mentioned that "It's still a bit of a crow's nest," and that "It's chaos, but we manage, and we're having a wonderful time!" (or something to that effect.) But, as you said, there's nothing wrong with that. It's just called being a kid. :)

As for calling the nanny "mom"....I have even heard of kids accidentally calling their teachers "mom"! That doesn't mean their mother doesn't pay attention to them and/or doesn't love them!

Basically, I completely agree that the book appears to be just a really long, expensive version of the tabloids!

Well Sharon, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree then. I don't think there's any comparison between disliking rags that run hateful headlines (using faked photos) complete with the nasty, horrible "I hope they break up" comments on those sites and the people here on PittWatch who enjoy this couple and are tired of seeing people continually try to drag them through the mud.

Are there some readers here who will read the book? I'm sure there are, but the vast majority of people here would prefer that Halperin doesn't make a single penny off any of us. If it was available free from the library I might flip through it; if he offered to send me a free review copy I might flip through it. But I have no interest in actually reading from front to back a book that uses unnamed sources (a favorite ploy by tabloids) and uses past dark experiences in Angelina's life especially when she's already been so open and honest about things like her past drug use and that she used to cut herself. He doesn't have anything real to say, all he did was recycle things we already knew and made up things that don't have any proper attributions, and in the end he claims they're going to break up "soon".

Goody for him, perhaps he should go buy a lotto ticket with his clairvoyant powers since I hear his book sales aren't particularly amazing so far.

So like I said, you are entitled to your opinion but I - and I'm sure I'm not the only one here - am just as entitled to disagree.

First of all, you assume that every person who reads the Brangelina book is a Brangelina hater. People who read the book might just be curious and want to judge it on its own merit...rather than rely on the comments of others. What Pitt Watch fans and Brangelina readers have in common is that they both share an interest in the lives of these celebrities. It's not fair to malign someone because they're curious about this book and what it's author has to say about the most famous couple on earth. Are you saying that anyone who is deemed as an acceptable fan of your website, must also automatically disregard any negative media related to the Brangelina couple? My point, as related to Jah's comment, was that we shouldn't be so quick to judge and label. That makes us no better than the Brangelina haters. Secondly, there has to be room in our society for all perspectives. Ian Halperin's book might not fit nicely into the content of this website, but if one posts mean-spirited rants about it, doesn't one just become a hater as well?

Sorry Sharon but I have to respectfully disagree with you on this point:

"But, the reality is, there are people who do. And they are not so different from the people who logged on to this site to read about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Dolce Vita."

No, there's actually a big difference. The people who are eager to read the book and who devour tabloids are interested for very different reasons and are therefore very different from the people who come to PittWatch.

I've been writing here for about three years and the regular readers and those who comment are interested in Brad & Angelina because they love their movies, admire their charitable efforts, and enjoy seeing them with their kids or with each other.

The people who are going to find joy in Halperin's book are the ones who are downright gleeful about the mere thought that this couple might break up, who leave nasty comments about them on sites (and try to leave them here without success), who would love nothing more than to find out that they're no longer together.

PittWatch readers genuinely like and admire this family. Rag readers (and by extension so-called "tell-all" readers) are negative and wish nothing but the worst on them.

So yeah, sorry but there's a huge Grand Canyon-esque difference between the people here and the people who will enjoy the book.

Just to respond to Jah’s comment, there is a lot out there about Brad and Angelina’s good work…just recently there were stories circulating all over the media about the 6.8 million they donated to charity. And I’ve seen many pictures of Angelina visiting with refugees and Brad working on his New Orleans project. You shouldn’t despair…the media isn’t 100% Brangelina haters.

And, let’s all be honest…if we’re writing comments on Pittwatch, we all know a little too much about this couple. We know the names of their children, the number of tattoos, their last date night. We know these things because we’re intrigued. Halperin’s book will find an audience with people who are equally intrigued. Maybe we shouldn’t care about whether Brad smokes pot or Shiloh calls a nanny “mom.” But, the reality is, there are people who do. And they are not so different from the people who logged on to this site to read about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Dolce Vita.

First, of all, I don’t believe in calling anyone a homewrecker. I’m appalled by the fact that women as always take the brunt of the negative attention when there is an affair. Brad played a role in the demise of his own marriage. The point that I mean to make is that people have been saying that Ian Halperin can’t know the truth because he wasn’t there at the time of the breakup. But Brad and Angelina were there, and they don’t seem to be any clearer on the matter. Everyone denied the affair rumors, at first, it’s true…but more recently, Angelina has made very suggestive comments, even saying that one day her children will be able to watch the film where their mother and father fell in love (i.e. Mr and Mrs. Smith). This hints that there is more to the story than originally told. And, if Ian Halperin wants to investigate that, he is well within his right. And the people who want to read it, will. Those who don’t want to, also have the choice to avoid it. No author can force you to read his book. He’s not tricking people into buying it. If it sells well, it’s because there is an audience for it.

As for the book itself, I’ve heard that while it reveals some of Angelina’s less attractive exploits, it also paints her as a very successful and driven woman. Any flaws it might depict should not detract from any good work she or Brad have done. That’s what I mean when I say people want the couple to remain untainted…the public doesn’t seem to understand that good people can do good things and still have flaws. It’s not all or nothing, black or white.

Tell all books, I’m sure, can be difficult for the subjects. But Brad and Angelina have worked hard to place themselves in the spotlight…sometimes there is a price to pay for that. But, with that said, I’m sure their reputations and careers will remain intact. Halperin’s book will only serve to boost their profile.
