Brad Pitt and David Fincher hold press conference in Japan

Brad Pitt and David Fincher attended a press conference in Japan today for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Brad and David were located at the Roppongi hotel in Tokyo, Japan to answer the media’s questions. I know I’m often in the minority with this statement but I really like Brad’s hat. There’s just something cute about a newsboy cap.

This means we can probably expect some red carpet photos soon because a premiere usually follows a press conference and photocall, so stay tuned for updates here on PittWatch!

More photos of Brad Pitt and David Fincher’s press conference in Japan below the cut.

Brad says he can’t hear you – scream that you love him just a little louder!

Ligaya, glad to see your posts. Hope everything is fine with you and your family.

Benjamin Button will be shown in our country in Feb. Just a couple of weeks to go! I am dying to see it.

Went to the japanese Edwin jeans web site, couldn’t read a thing, but it looks like they are Edwin 503′s. Now I just have to figure out where to get them in Canada. Anyone know?

Brad and Angie wear their clothes till they are falling apart. They buy descent items they know are quality and stylish.

They also receive gifts from major companies as someone said earlier. It’s not always that they accept these gifts as we all know, because they have returned items before.

Both have been pictured making good use of the same clothes over a period of years. And Angie has been known to wear 2nd hand clothes (thrift) to red carpets. The last one was A Mighty Heart in New York ($25 or $27).

Brad has been photographed with boots so worn, you could see holes in the seem.

Yes they are richer than the rest of us but they are less frivolous than US weekly would have us believe. Eg: The house in France they rented, however US weekly spent time avoiding that truth but instead implied it was bought. Just as they are now doing with the ?Long Island house.

    Neil,
He has done a lot of ads for Japan, like the recent Monsieur Tattou one-cell phones! (yellow goofy outfit). He is also the main model for Edwin jeans; 10+ years, and I wouldn’t be surprised if these jeans are Edwin.

Nothing wrong with a $2,000 Bag or $990 pair of Jeans, they work hard enough to enjoy enjoy their fruit of labout and splashing out if they want to. Love Brad’s Cap and his casual, relax look in Grey Jumper. Glad he is not wearing a business shirt. Love his moustache, he looks good with it. Love this family!!!

I mean, LESS. Goshdarnnit. It’s too late.

That sentence was supposed to read, “I have more problem with the HAT than the ‘stache.” :)

  7. By Sarita

I have less problem with the than the ‘stache! Now that shooting for “Inglorious Bastards” has wrapped, couldn’t Brad shave it off? Or maybe he hasn’t had the time?

I know it sounds crazy, but I dislike the mustache more than Brad’s hair in “Burn After Reading.” But maybe Angelina disagrees. In any case, it would make a funny poll.

mysmichelle has a very good point. For all we know, if those are in fact Tom Ford jeans, Brad could have easily gotten them as swag, and thus didn’t pay a thing for them.

Back to work for Brad and David…I really really liked this movie and am rooting for it in the Oscars, but the only other picture I’ve seen of the rest of the nominees is Slumdog Millionaire, and I gotta say I do like it as well. But I’m a Brad/Angie fan so of course I root for them.

Ligaya, no problem about sharing something you’re proud of, especially when it’s the work of your son. Hope you are doing better now and your family emergency has been resolved.

    UNDER MOD:

TOTALLY OT OT OT (apologies in advance): I *really* tried hard to resist, really I did – but the mom in me found it irresistible not to share Sony Pictures Classics’ first official trailer of “Sugar.”

TOTALLY OT OT OT (apologies in advance): I *really* tried hard to resist, really I did – but the mom in me found it irresistible to share Sony Pictures Classics’ first official trailer of “Sugar.” (http://www.firstshowing.net/2009/01/28/anna-boden-and-ryan-flecks-sugar-trailer-debut/)

The poster saw “Sugar” at Sundance and found the ending a little disappointing – but I think he was looking for a pat Hollywood ending. As an indie filmmaker, Ryan isn’t about cliché, pat Hollywood endings, and IMO it’s a hopeful, uplifting ending. “Sugar” does go somewhere – Ryan respects his audience to be intelligent and make their own conclusions, just like in “Half Nelson.” The magazine Film Comment chose “Sugar” as one of its BEST UNRELEASED FILMS OF 2008.

“Sugar” will be released on April 3, 2009 – just in time for the start of baseball season. I met lead actor Algenis Perez Soto (non-actor recruited off a baseball diamond in the Dominican Republic) and actor Rayniel Rufino at Sundance and Toronto – both as sweet and gorgeous as in the movie.

P.S. Sherry – I never did get that scarf, and it’s OK.

I know people who make as much as I do (believe me it is nothing) and buy $2000 bags. People can save up for it and make it their one vice for the year. I have nothing against buying expensive things as long as no one in your house is starving and you have done your best with your community, I believe that you have to enjoy the fruit of your labor also.

I am with you Sherry, I love Brad in his hat. Gives him a kind of rustic edge to his sexiness. He is one fine man…ages like fine wine!!! I can’t get enough of him.

kim, if it’s says that her stylist is Jennifer Rade then it’s true. :)
i’m glad she wore it backwards – it’s more classy (IMO)

  17. By dhc

I’m amused that Angie wore her SAG dress backwards, since I thought the back was so much more interesting than the front. I don’t blame her, though. I just cannot imagine anyone looking good in something cut that low and wide!

  18. By Neil

I wonder if Brad or Angie will do a commercial while there? I know Brad has done some in Europe and I know the Japanese pay quite a lot.

  19. By kim

Not that I like US weekly, but this explains AJ blue dress. is that really her stylist? is the story true?

I disagree, everyone works hard, and most people work harder than Brad and AJ. I am not a big believer in buying ridiculously over priced clothing just because they have someones name on them, or just because you can. I was so impressed with an actress (i think it was sharon stone)who wore a really nice long skirt and jacket and a GAP mock turtleneck to the oscars years ago. But that is besides the point we don’t even know if the jeans are Tom Ford jeans. Has anyone found out the make of these jeans?
