After a number of delays and setbacks, Brad Pitt’s Western The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford finally has an official release date. The movie will hit theaters on September 21st. It will be pitted (ha!) against Resident Evil: Extinction, an already-expected box office hit called I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, and a new Coen Brothers movie called No Country for Old Men.
Brad’s movie has some serious competition with Chuck and Larry already being talked about as a number one film, and Westerns are sort of a niche interest, but it IS Brad Pitt after all, so hopefully it will do well nonetheless. I know I’ll be watching!

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry is showing in July. I would be more worried about 3:10 To Yuma (Crowe & Bale), another Western film that is coming out 2 weeks after AOJJ. BBT’s Mr. Woodcock
also showing in Sept 21. Hehe

Four serious adult movies with one horror movie. From some who have seen it, this movie is not a typical western so I really don’t know how it will be do. But as Brad’s friend Clooney says, actors make movies like O13 and MAMS (big money makers) so that they can make small movies like AAOJJ>

I just finish watching BABEL. and, angie’s better half IS a hot daddy. no matter how hard the make up artist tried to make brad looks older, he’s still hot!!
and yes, brad still rocks in this black hair.

Thanks Sherry, those of us abroad will have to wait longer i guess. I also hope it does ok, but I don’t think it will be big, ‘cos it’s not “shot ‘em up” kind of western.
