I just wanted to pop in on this lovely weekend evening to remind those of you who don’t regularly watch American Idol (and if you’re not, what a shame, you’re missing out on the awesome David Cook!) that this coming week on April 9th, the regular show will be put aside for their second season of Idol Gives Back. The special event, which won an Emmy for last year’s episode, raises awareness as well as money for six different charity organizations – Children’s Defense Fund, The Global Fund, Make It Right, Malaria No More, Save the Children, and The Children’s Health Fund.
A great deal of celebrities will be getting involved, several from last last year, and this year one of the new faces on the special will be Brad Pitt.
If you don’t want do miss Brad Pitt on Idol Gives Back make sure you check your local listings. It comes on at 7:30 pm in my time zone, but double check for yours. I’ll be sure to get some video footage up as quickly as possible for those of you in countries that don’t air the show.
Thanks Sherry for the reminder. I catch the show every week. David Cook is THE man to beat this year!! Can’t wait to see Brad and other celebrities on the show who are out there to make a difference in the world.

Alayna – I am Canadian, so I can’t vote, but I love to watch. David Cook is my absolute favorite this season so if I was in the US I would definitely be voting for him. I vote for Canadian Idol if there’s anyone I really like. :)

I will definitely be watching it because of Brad Pitt. I watch American Idol once in a while, since I can’t sing I am not really into it but because of Brad I will make an exemption. I can’t wait, I hope they raised a lot of million of $’s.

No date, no chores on that particular day. Of course I’ll be watching American Idol only because the man…..Brad Pitt….will be on the show. I miss the pitt/jolie pictures..Sherry any pictures last week???tks

Thanks Sherry for the reminder, now April 9th is a Wednesday, right? I haven’t watch American Idol this year because Simon, Paula and Randy irritate me for some reason. I watched “Dancing With the Stars” instead but on April 9th, I will make sure, I see AI.

Thanks Sherry, i will try really hard, out of my way to watch it, i made a decision not to watch AI again since last year, they didnt give it to the best singer who was Melinda Dolittle and they even claimed that AI is not all about singling but personality and face, i was so pissed off but bicos of ours Brad, i will try and tune in and out probably bicos of dancsing with the stars.

Thanks Sherry, my granddaughter has her first baseball game that night, so I am hoping that Brad doesn’t go on until later in the evening. If I miss it I will be happy to know you will put up the video for us. I also like David Cook, but I also like the other young David. His voice is beautiful.

oh idk you would even watch American idol in Canada. I have a friend who is gonna audition for Canadian idol next season most likely so i’ve heard of it.

okey i stopped watching american idol eversince ryan seacrest together w/ken baker of us weekly spreading lies fabricated stories on angie on his radio station 102.7 kiis fm and ryan continue to do so to this date. he prefers the x and openly admit to it. but for you sherry and esp.for brads make it right i’ll watch it this week but will mute when ryan comes up! LOL!

Because of Ryan Seacrest I stopped watching American Idol, once in a while I glanced at it then switched channel. But because Brad will be there, I will watch it. For our idol, I will do it regardless of Ryan & Simon.God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

I heard the crowd went WILD for him at the KODAK THEATER Sunday.I can’t wait to see it on Wednesday.

Ryan irritates me too and now I hear Ellen may not be a part of it due to scheduling problems. Can’t imagine listening to his drivel for a minute let alone 1-2hours, or however long the show is!
