Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are doing a divide and conquer with the kids, making sure they all get some special outings. While Angelina has the older girls in New York City for sightseeing and art shopping, Brad Pitt took Maddox and Pax to Las Vegas for a little getaway.
According to People.com, Brad was spotted with Maddox and Pax at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Wednesday night. No word on what they’re doing out there, but I know there is a ton of stuff to do in Vegas with young kids – maybe they’re going to go see the sting rays at Mandalay Bay!
Either way, the kids are all sure to be having a blast with all the big girls together and all the big boys together as well. There was nothing clear as to where the babies are, but maybe Knox and Vivienne are with Brad‘s mom and dad. The whole family will get together again shortly what with the Oscar Awards being just a few more days away.
You know what’s particularly impressive about this boys-only trip to Las Vegas? No pictures! The picture I included with this post is not from the current excursion, it’s from August 2007 when the family was in New York. People used an old photo as well. I checked every photo agency that I use and – so far at least – no one had any photos of Brad, Maddox, and Pax in Las Vegas. I am amazed that in a city as bustling as Vegas, they managed to be spotted but not photographed by any paparazzi. Wow!

Something to think about, my grandmother died 3 years ago at the rip age of 95, and despite the fact that this reaction is going to effect everyone, no matter how bad it gets it will never be as bad as the depression of the 1930′s that she went through. We as a world have lived beyond our means for so long that it will take a large adjustment in our mind set to realize that we can’t have everything. Families will have to come together to help each other, people will have to offer help and others will have to ask or except help, a hard thing to do.
Do you really need a living room and a family room and a playroom, do you really need a bathroom for every bedroom. Do you really need to build a new house adding another foot print on the earth or can you renovate an existing house. These are all questions that we need to ask ourselves.
Anne, I have been doing the same prayers also. I tried real hard not to be selfish and just pray for my children and their families, but everyone who is suffering. Constant worry is a form of suffering.
Myrna,
I hope you don’t go to Winnipeg in the winter, and if you do remember to wear your wind proof suit. Brrrrrr.
We love Canada! We have lots of wonderful friends there. One year, we travelled from Detroit to Toronto then to Quebec then to Maine, USA and we visited some friends in the norhteast and back to MN! We’ve gone to Toronto several times to bring relatives there to see the Niagara Falls when we lived in MI for 12 years. We also love visiting Winnipeg!
LOL LOL LOL
Kim, I LOVED it when I saw on the news that he had stopped at the market like that! The Secret Service guys were probably freaking, but it was just so nice that he stopped off to get some maple leaf cookies for his girls. My friend said he should have stopped for some Tim Horton’s on the way back too. :)
Maybe, the twins are spending quality time with gramma and grampa back in LA. They are not really so little any more over 6 months and quality time with grandparents is important too. I personally prefer to think of them this way, so that AJ and Brad can have some fun with the other kids.
This is all just speculation on my part and make believe in my own mind.
Sherry good call on the beavertails, can’t believe Obama just pulled over and went into the Ottawa market like that. Classic.
Sarita, I think I did see that before, actually. Just in case anyone’s wondering which pregnancy Angie had her potrait painted during, it was her pregnancy with Shiloh (the article didn’t specifically say that, but it DID say that the portrait was painted in 2006…which was obviously when she was pregnant with Shiloh).
Anyway, I actually think the twins might be in NYC with Angie and the older girls. I wouldn’t think that Angie and Brad would want to leave them, even for a few days, when they’re still so little!
The economy is really difficult right now. In january alone, 50K people were let go from work. I have a prayer list and one of the items on my list is to pray for the economy and for our head of states to make right and just decisions. Not trying to bring my religious beliefs in here but I encourage everyone no matter what your beliefs are to at least pray for the economy and everyone affected. Miracles are bound to happen soon
Economy is really tough right now…the worse I have ever seen it. I am a sales rep in the construction industry and lost my job last Aug and haven’t been able to find anything yet. My husband is a maintenance man in a production plant and his job is hanging on by a thread BUT the good news is we will be fine no matter what! We don’t live beyond our means and obcessed with paying for things as we go so our home and cars are paid for. It may not be the 1/2 million dollar home I’d like to have but it’s comfortable, respectable and paid for. I used to make 6 figures and now live on unemployment and have made adjustments like everyone else. Alot less eating out, awhole lot of coupon clipping and trips to town and meals are planned. I suggest everyone save what they can now cause you just never know what the future brings. Things will get better eventually and Ligaya is right we need to go back to the way things were. I’m terrible with growing a garden but my neighbors are great at it so I help buy the seed & plants and help them weed it and pick from it whenever I want. I wish the best for everyone through these tough times…Angie and Brad always make me feel better as they are trying to make the world a better place!
I guess there are some pictures from their trip out now. At least the pictures weren’t all over the web right away.
Mary Ann, sorry to hear about your son. I feel bad for those who have been losing their jobs because of the economy. I’ve got a cousin in Minnesota too who has been having trouble finding a job, and other friends who face the possibility of losing theirs. Hopefully things will ease up soon and jobs will once more be available.
Sherry, hope your daughter gets a good rest and will feel much better soon.
Nice to see him and his older boys enjoying time together.
ahhh i live in vegas! dang i wonder if they’re still here lol. i read somewhere that they went to see the show KA – how fun!!
Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. Rick is only one of millions. Ligaya your figures are frightening. I will be 70 on Knox and Vivi birthday and I never never ever remember anything like this. We raised our children in a little town called Victory Gardens, and it was named for all the people who planted gardens to live and that was around the time of WWII. Times are rough and it makes me hope that maybe all of us can get closer and work together. The only good thing I remember about 911 is how the whole world seemed to become so close. Sherry your site allows all of us to communicate and care about each other in addition to our love and respect of the Jolie-Pitts.
Sherry,
Now you’ve made me go buy Nanaimo bars love those things.
hello girls! i thought it’s great they can have some privacy even in a city like Las Vegas… but they didn’t: a friend of me has a pick of brad and pax on her blog
http://pax-joliepitt.skyrock.com/
i’ll ask her where she found it!
Mary Ann, I’m *so* sorry to hear about your son. I just read that there are 5 million Americans who are getting unemployment benefits. The unemployment figures aren’t accurate. It doesn’t count those whose benefits have run out or those who’ve gotten so discouraged they’ve stopped looking for work.
My cousin might be laid off and I know friends of friends who have been. It’s very scary, businesses are closing like dominoes. Citi Bank took over Washington Mutual and now it looks like *it’s* going to go under.
We Americans are going to have to make a 180 degree turn in our lifesyle back to the 1930s and 1940s post-Depression and WWII years – growing our own food in backyard gardens may be the only practical option for a lot of us, if we’re laid off and can’t get jobs. This is going to take many years to change for the better.
Rita – thanks to the link to Popsugar site.It truly is Brad with Pax. Wonder where Maddox was hiding? It´s always nice to see Brad and Angie giving some special one-on-one time to their children. This time it was mummy with the big girls and daddy with the big boys. Mad and Pax sure had a fun time with daddy. Playing with Wiis and just being with their father sure is very special for the boys. Pax has really grown a lot lately. And that haircut makes him look even yummier. Can´s wait to see Brad and Angie on RC on Sunday! Win or no win. They´ll always have each other! God bless this family!
Hi Sherry, hope your sweetheart feels much better now. Thanks for doing whatever you can to push the comments through. Nice to see that Brad and his boys get to hang out togather in Vagas it’s more a boy’s town. I bet there will be pic later.
Kim!
National food of Canada: Beaver tails, poutine, Nanaimo bars. :D
