Brad Pitt will Burn After Reading in Venice

Brad Pitt Burn After Reading at Venice Film Festival

Awesome! Here’s some more good news for likely Brad Pitt red carpet appearances – The Coen brothers’ film Burn After Reading is set to open the Venice Film Festival!

The spy comedy stars Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and John Malkovich – a stellar cast for sure.

I can’t wait to see more red carpet appearances, not to mention the hilarious mayhem that always seems to happen when you get Brad Pitt and George Clooney together in one place.

It really seems like it’s shaping up to be a great summer ahead for seeing Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on the red carpet!

Well that settles it for ME, France it is. That means the family will be there for the next 6 months at least. If I am not mistaken a new France school term starts soon, (don’t the kids go to school in the summer in France? Three terms with 3 weeks off in between each). I would bet we will see lots of dropping off at school pics along with all the red carpet pics.

I believe Cannes is in MaY and Venice is in August. I hope they have a wonderful break if they are really there already.

And E’ news is as reliable as Star and the rest; they keep guessing and dropping unsourced quotes until they get something right.

In our eagerness for news we forget the other times (95%) that they misrepresented the “truth”. EG: How many times did most of them report Angie was pregnant after Shiloh, before they finally got it right.

I vote we wait to see what unfolds, it will in the ends. It always does. Then the ‘news’ reporting just continues as if nothing happened.

“Then the ‘news’ reporting just continues as if nothing happened.”

LOL, that’s very true! I noticed that most of the magazines have dropped the twins angle lately, but one of them (which shall remain nameless) is persisting: they casually mention she’s expecting twins in every article as though it’s well known fact. But should the baby arrive all on its lonesome, I imagine they’ll continue calmly onwards, reporting the birth as though nothing had happened. Makes me smile.

    Cannes is May 14-25
    Venice is August 27 – September 6

News from France!? This rumor seems believable because it’s so detailed. But then detailed rumors have fallen apart before. Weren’t there rumors last year & this year that the Jolie-Pitts were marrying on this yacht?

E!, ET, Access Hollywood, Insider, Extra & Daily 10 seeem a bit better than the tabloids & bloggers – but they just repeat rumors without fact-checking, unlike People magazine. Someone posted a while ago that E! has an anti-Angelina bias. I know that’s true for 2 of their bloggers – Ted Casablanca & a woman whose name I’ve forgotten.

Then there was that whole Golden Globe encounter between Angelina & Ryan Seacrest while Marcheline was dying. Angelina might have just been trying to hold it together without screaming. The NY Times & Washington Post severely criticized Angelina – of course neither of them had the decency to let their readers know why Angie wasn’t at her best.

I’ll wait for confirmation from more reliable sources.

Blunt, Pitt on ‘Make a Difference’ List
    Tuesday, Apr 29, 2008 @07:42am CST

What do Missourians Matt Blunt and Brad Pitt have in common? Both have landed on a list of influential leaders.

The Southern Business and Development Magazine named the governor and Pitt to its list of the ten people who have made a difference.

The magazine says Blunt was named for helping to improve Missouri’s economy, while Pitt was honored for efforts in rebuilding New Orleans.

Shesaid, your suggestion is intriguing. Your knowledge of the facts is impressive. This is an entertainment site so I don’t know who’d be interested, and sometimes people have information fatigue – they just want to vege out. I think this is why A Mighty Heart & other movies dealing with the war on terror & Iraq weren’t as successful as they should have been.

I’m interested, especially if the information is tied in a timely way to Brad & Angie’s humanitarian & philanthropic work. For example, around the time the Springfield fund was announced, we could have asked these questions: why are those kids’ families so poor? (my guess is the coal mines closed just like the auto/steel factories closed in Detroit), are there any efforts to bring industry/business into the area for jobs?, are the unemployed being trained to do anything else? Is there anybody looking out for the folks who’ve fallen from the safety net? I don’t know my Ozarks from my Appalachian Mountains, but I think handicrafts like baskets, chairs, etc. fetch a good price. The idea is that teaching a wo/man how to fish is better for them in the long run, instead of just giving them fish.

Katrina – there are so many details to know, like those who’ve lost their homes still having to pay their mortgage AND their rent where they’re staying now. Ronald Lewis, resident & musician: “They say we’re dumb, illiterate, poor people. They chose to put those labels on us. But this is a blue-collar community. We bought houses, raised families, came back…***Two years after the storm, only about **one-third** of those residents approved for their “Road Home” awards from the Louisiana Recovery Authority have received payments***… “

Thank you Sherry on how to top off a fabulous weekend with “that” picture. You’re the best!

Funny–my daughter and I had the same reaction after viewing the picture….LOL…

Great news for the film and the Jolie-Pitt’s family.
I’m happy for them & us. Maybe the world will finally catch on to what we’ve known forever.
