Here’s some excellent news! Brad Pitt will be back in Cannes this year to debut Inglourious Basterds!
The film festival runs from May 13-24 this year. Quentin Tarantino received the invitation and happily accepted, also entering the film into the competition. We won’t be able to see the movie until its official public release on August 21st, but I don’t mind since this means we’ll get to see Brad on the red carpet again, and since it’s so rare for them to do premieres separately, we’ll get a nice Angelina Jolie red carpet fix as well.
It may only be the 2nd of April right now but May is not far away. For some reason I love seeing Brad and Angelina in Cannes more than any other festival. Something about Cannes is just fun and exciting, and we know how much they love to spend time in France. Maybe they’ll take a little family vacation while they’re there if their work schedules allow it.
Hang in there, I know that we haven’t seen Brad and Angelina for awhile (and as always, the tabloids always have a field day when that happens, like they’ve never ever ducked out of public view before, give me a break), but hopefully we’ll see them out and about soon. Due to the lack of filming shots, I can only assume that Salt is currently shooting in a studio rather than on public streets. In the meantime, at least we can wait for Cannes now!

Yeah – the adoption stuff is funny, but if i had their income, i would do the same good the pitt-Jolies are doing. God bless Brad and Angie.
oops — SNL Weekend Update just did the Angelina looking for a baby spoof again… I think it’s funny even though I am madly in love with and respect the Jolie-Pitt family. : )
therealbetty- How do you know they’re going vacation in NOLA this summer? Granted, they almost always spend part of every year in NOLA, but, as far as I know, Cannes is the only confirmed thing as far as where they’re going to be this summer.
As for the promotion…Actually, Angie probably won’t be promoting Salt this Fall. Salt doesn’t come out until next year (2010), so going by what’s happened with their movies in the past, the promotion won’t come until just before the premire in 2010.
All of that said, yes, I assume Brad will be doing promotion for IB. :)
Brad just ooozes sexy alphaero. And gets better looking with age. Brad is one fine wine.
They don’t need to put on a show (PDA) for everyone to see. Six kids are a lot of work and time and they’d rather enjoy their families than venture out to the media world.
They’re going to vacation in Cannes and N.O. again this summer. Then back to Europe and N.Y. to promote I.B. and Salt.
yeah, irma.. now that i think about it their all busy.. but then why not have a break for awhile?? have a break in Boracay! hehehe..
just hoping.. right?? i mean,, it’s not impossible that they won’t go.. it’s like improbable so there’s still hope.. i really wish they could come here in the Philippines..
yep joliepittfanatic.. it’s the ultimatum.. and really, you could read it all over again and be amazed on how they managed to create stories like that “AGAIN!” imagine Brad saying to Angie “marry me or it’s over!” i don’t get it! another rumor is that she is worried and threatened by natalie portman because Brad might you know, have a secret relationship with her because she’s younger..
they really won’t stop.. i wish angie and brad could come out just a little while, holding each others hands.. then this would all stop!
oh please.. please.. i miss them and would like to see them together with the kids!
scalet- From what I’ve read “Basterds” is intentionally misspelled. :)
Lucy- “There was a story somewhere that Angie did not attend a gala night with everybody (all the celebrities) so she does not have to run in with Jen and Brad.” Now that’s a “run-in” story I can actually believe.
Considering the rumors floating around at the time, I don’t blame Angie for not wanting to create an awkward situation.
kimmy- “it’s like Brad forcing Angie to marry him or he will end their relationship, no more adoption and babies!” That cr*p AGAIN? Good grief! This is about the one billionth time the tabs have used that “story”!
I doubt if Brad, Angie & kids will be spending holiday in the Philippines. That’s a long flight for the whole family & besides Angie is still working in NY for “Salt” so no way they can fly to PI & back in a few days after. That’s a rumor & just a rumor.

hi! rumors are circulating here in the Philippines that Brangelina will spent holidays in Boracay. it wasn’t confirm yet. but Angelina and brad Filipino fans are all excited…hope they will visit Philippines…

Lucy you are right about Cannes 2004 and Angie did not attend the party with the excuse or maybe not that Maddox was in the hotel and she just wanted to get back to him so she avoided the encountaring with reason. Joliepitfantic you are right about the article. If you consider that even when a interview is distributed in the same country it becomes another fairytale through the filter. LOL
I love Cannes and I’ve been their over christmas season and will be going again begining of May for a couple of days just for entertainment.
I agree Kimmy – just this week, like you said, Brad’s given the marriage ultimatum (zzzzz) in one, another has him sleeping on the couch, another thatthey are in councelling, yet another says she beat him up (WTF !) . Oh and the nanny got sacked cos Brad was getting a bit too close…..
Bring on Cannes , at least that should hopefully get rid of all the rumours for a while. Can’t wait to see them. Will they all go do you think?

to all Filipino fans and others as well.. i’ve just watched the news on ABS-CBN, and it said that Angie and Brad is planning to go to Boracay, to have a vacation there! yipee! if this is true.. can somebody please give me tickets to go there?? ;p

Can´t wait to see Brad and Angie on the red carpet in Cannes! But I still hope that we´ll get to see them before that. Like Mary Ann said the twins will be already 10 months old by that time. They sure have grown a lot. And so have the four older ones too. Miss the whole JP family a lot. God bless the JPs!
Brad and Jennifer Aniston were at Cannes to promote Troy in 2004. Angie was there solo promoting Shark Tales with Will Smith and his wife. There was a story somewhere that Angie did not attend a gala night with everybody (all the celebrities) so she does not have to run in with Jen and Brad. You see, MMS was half completed in May 2004 and there was a rumor already about Brad and Angie. Angie stayed at her hotel room (can’t remember if Maddox was with her because her main residence was in London then). No, Alexander was not presented in Cannes but Colin and Angie went to Germany and other cities in Europe to promote it. There was even an interview wherein the announcer (German or French) was asking Angie about Brad already and Colin was laughing at Angie.
