Brad Pitt is known for keeping his heart not quite on his sleeve, but rather somewhat protected. When asked about Angelina Jolie or their children, he answers but he does it a little bit quietly, as though reluctant to divulge too much. In an interview awhile back Brad mentioned that he worries that talking about them too much in quick interview snippets somehow cheapens what they are and mean to him – almost as though he can’t put it all into strong enough words in a brief exchange on the red carpet.
For the people who have been wishing Brad would talk about his feelings towards his family just a little more candidly – you know, those of us who are hopeless romantics at heart – this article at Parade.com is what we were all waiting for.
Some highlights:
The right to love.
“Man, I resent people telling others how to live! It drives me mental! Just the other night, I heard this TV reverend say that Angie and I were setting a bad example because we were living out of wedlock, and people should not be duped by us! It made me laugh. What damn right does anyone have to tell someone else how to live if they’re not hurting anyone? How many times do you think real love comes to someone in a lifetime? If you’re lucky, maybe two or three.”Admitting his fears.
“Angie’s mom died a couple of years ago of cancer. I haven’t had to face a lot of death. I’m untried in that way, and I don’t know how I will deal with it. My real fear at this point is the safety and health of Angie and the kids. The fear of losing them is what keeps me up at night.”

i love him and his family.. and yeah.. there is nothing wrong with them being partners and not married couples.. i know someone who’s not married and yet they are happy and loved by many.. i remember Angie’s quote, my fave quote of her.. “I don’t believe in guilt, I believe in living on impulse as long as you never intentionally hurt another person, and don’t judge people in your life. I think you should live completely free. ”

I had written something before but for some reason it did not get posted…
I think that this is one of his best interview yet, warm, personal and deep as one of you said. Thanks Brad for letting some of your guard down. AS for the grotto, I think it was sort of a joke just to lighten up the serious tone of the interview.
As for the IB premiere, Lucy, it will be on August 10th, Monday 6:00 p.m.
at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre 6925 Hollywood Blvd, in Hollywood. I would like to go and I was wondering if someone lives around here in Los Angeles that would like to go and meet up. Wish we had like IB shirts or UNCHR or Pittwatchers shirts matching to wear so we can identify each other in the crowd. Brad said in Berlin that Angie will be there. Never seen them before so that would be cool.

I read the snippets and I didn’t see anything about him feeling empty. Just wondering were you got this from “He felt empty in his marriage, sweet on the outside and empty when you get alone with the other person, it is so telling.”
from what I read it says that if your lucky you have 2 or 3 real loves in your life. I would assume that one of those loves was Jen and as he puts it the road ran its course and then ended and he started a new road with AJ and the family. Why does everyone always try and make like he wasn’t happy before he meet AJ this just is not true, and it really bugs me when people make that assumption.

Read the Parade interview again. He pretty much says he did not feel fulfilled – I think that qualifies as being unhappy. This is not a slam at his X. Brad and Angie should be allowed to talk about their feelings for each other and what their relationship means to them, without always trying to protect or make allowances for the life he had with his X. Just accept the man’s words at face value.

Great interview from Brad, very deep and heartfelt. For those who do not wish to read or hear about it, simply look the other way. The JPs have plenty of fans who love to hear and read about them. I pray for their continued success and happiness always.
One of the best interviews of Brad, you can tell & sense the happiness, his love to his family & the joy of being a family man,this interview made the other fans rethink that Brad & Angie are meant to be together, I love the fact that he said Angie is his love & soulmate.There’s nothing else to say, Brad sealed it. Time for others to move on. I will always admire & love the Jolie-Pitt family.God bless them.

I needed to come to this site for refuge….Us weekly has a poll up “do you think Angie is Brad’s soulmate….I wanted to say effing yeah, you know the “no’s” outweigh the yeah’s..hahahaha

Anybody have been to the Grauman’s theater to see a premiere? Just wondering if there’s a technique or plan of some sort for going there…best place to see, best thing to do before…please if anyone had info, it will be appreciated. Thankies!
