There’s another new Brad Pitt ad for Alice available on the official Alice website. As always, go to the site and then scroll down where you will see the fourth ad installment.
In this one, it appears that the husband is now mocking the wife, making fun of her for being all “gaga” over Brad Pitt because he’s a movie star from Hollywood, and then he ends up embarrassed when he turns around and realizes that Brad himself is standing there. Naturally, he doesn’t understand what the man has said, but the husband looks uncomfortable to be “caught” anyway.
For those of you who understand, am I close with my description or am I way off?
I liked how it had Ocean’s Twelve coming on the television in the background.

Hi. The husband actually just repeats the many great possibilities with the cable-tv they have… while he makes fun of his wife…
actually he says to his wife: “you have to be a little more quiet/calm. you tell Brad all the time about our great cable-tv-deal, where you can see blockbusters from hollywood and westerns an you can choose movies from the library of ‘alice!”… it doesn’t really have to do anything with Brad Pitt. it’s not that the husband makes fun of his wife who is so excited about Brad, he just says that she shouldn’t annoy Brad with those details about the new cable-tv

I still don’t think that these ads are particularily funny although I do understand them perfectly well language wise as I am a German native speaker.
The woman in these ads I found out recently is Swiss.
By the way, Alice is no great success over here, never was. so they are targeting women now.
That’s where Brad Pitt comes into play I guess.
I doubt they will have more success now just because of him as the script is really bad.
I thought that was funny. Subtle but not over the top, so maybe humor is different within each culture. We have alot of great commercials here for products that aren’t particularly successful, but the ads alone are memorable and stand out.
For what it’s worth, Brad looks cute in those commercials.
