It turns out that Brad Pitt is in New Orleans for a very good cause. Brad is busy overlooking Global Green’s sustainable low-income housing project. A special celebration is planned for the completion of the project, so Brad stopped by to check it all out.
New Orleans was hit hard by Katrina two years ago but this neighborhood in particular, the Lower Ninth Ward, was completely devastated by the hurricane and has needed total rebuilding from the ground up.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Brad will do an exclusive interview with Ann Curry for The Today Show, where he will discuss his cause regarding bringing homes to help rebuild New Orleans that are both environmentally friendly and energy efficient.

Wow, I do like the shirt. It shows his well built and toned abs. It is a light shirt not an undershirt. And the blue eyes on the close up, OMG the paint on the walls at my office are melting. I am so happy, they are never apart too long. It was what one night by himself? These two are the most hardworking couple I know. Just do not patronize the tabs. Do not buy them. If you have a subscription, cancel it. Could hardly wait to see photos at the Hamptons benefit.

Brad wears a shirt just appropriate for the hot & humid weather of N.O just like ours here in Northern Fl. we are really in desperate need of rain. We also are in hurricane season, everybody have drills every year what to do & what to have in our pantry every hurricane season. I read that, Brad’s family are also in N.O. Brad & Ange are also going to The Hamptons for a fund raising dinner this weekend or the following week. It will be a big fund raising event so they will probably be all dressed up for the occasion. Is it not exciting ?That’s consider their dinner date without the kids & at the same time helping their charity.
Barbara, do you know that N.O. is very hot & humid. Brad put on a light shirt to keep cool. I am surprise he has a shirt on!

I love this project. You can actually take a virtual tour somewhere on Yahoo. I hope to take a tour when it’s finally finished.

Holy Cross is a historic part of the city that was devasted by the storm and in which recovery has been very slow. Other Brad quotes in the article:
“There’s so much of this culture here that is unlike any other city that we have,” he said. “It’s a feeling that I can’t quite explain, but I love being a part of it.” He expressed disappointment at the slow pace of recovery in much of the city. “We can’t ignore the fact that we’ve got to push to get these levees taken care of and correct the engineering mistakes of the past and get these wetlands taken care of for this city,” he said. “It is something I’m quite aware of and wish to remain vocal about.”

As a local, I can tell you that we in N.O. appreciate the Jolie-Pitts and their efforts towards helping the reconstruciton.
Irma, they do both like Anne Curry, she is a well respected journalist, and Diane Sawyer as well, they both have sat down and trust these two. Anne Curry, also flew to Namibia to have an interview with Angie while she was pregnant and again for refugee day June 2006. plus Anne was the person whom Brad talked with last May when he launched Global green, it only makes sense to share the updates with someone helped broadcast it.

But Barbara it shows of his chest so so well. How can you complain.
I know some people will harp on how he and Angelina are using these social and charity work for publicity, but I really believe they’re not. But even if their charges were true, at the very least these projects get some badly needed attention, and raising awareness is just the first step to helping solve these problems. Still, I truly believe that Brad and Angie have taken these causes to heart, and to them I say more power and best of luck. They are two very good people.
Now I know that Brad is in New Orleans, I hope the family are with him too. Brad & Ange are such a very loving & caring people, that’s good that, they are trying to help those victims of Katrina, that’s a start for a lot of people who lost everything.
I have to work early tomorrow so I will miss Ann Curry’s interview on Today I hope they show it again the following day. Ann Curry, I think is Brad & Angelina’s favorite journalist, they always gives interview to her, remember in Cannes?
