Brenda Walsh gets her new 90210 storyline

So what has Brenda Walsh (Shannen Doherty’s character on Beverly Hills, 90210) been doing all these years when Beverly Hills, 90210’s era on television ended? Well, she was last seen headed to London to study acting.

According to Brenda’s new storyline on the CW’s fall spin-off 90210, following her move to London, she became a successful theater actress, splitting her time between London and New York. Later, she transitioned into directing for theater, an equally successful career for her, as announced by CW during the  annual Television Critics’ Association Summer Press Tour.

Now on the CW’s 90210, West Beverly Hills High School has approached Walsh to return to her alma mater as a guest director for the school’s musical production.

Hence, Doherty will return to the zip code that made her famous as she guest stars in multiple episodes of the new spin-off.

Doherty will join other former Beverly Hills, 90210 cast members in the spin-off, including Jennie Garth as Kelly Taylor, now a West Beverly guidance counselor; Tori Spelling returning as Donna Martin, now owner of an upscale boutique, and Joe E. Tata as Nat, owner of The Peach Pit.

The show will premiere Tuesday, Sept. 2 on the CW.

Here’s a little note about former Beverly Hills, 90210 alumni Jason Priestly: ABC Family’s Secret Life of the American Teenager bad girl Adrian (Francia Raisa) told me during a phone interview this week that Priestly directed one of the Secret Life episodes.

90210 is produced by CBS Paramount Network Television with executive producers Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah.

That’s interesting, aren’t you supposed to study acting BEFORE you act? Well as long as it keeps her out of fights. The Danica Patrick tussle on the race track with Milka was funny too. I love her. Despite that argument, I think she’s a great role model for women/girls everywhere. She even made a funny spoof video for Motorola, check it out on motodanica.com, let me know what you think!
