LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Bret Michaels, the frontman of ’80s pop-metal band Poison, will be looking for love in a new VH1 series from the producers of the network’s hit “Flavor of Love.”The cable network is set to debut a 10-episode reality series titled “Rock of Love With Bret Michaels” in July. The show will feature Michaels looking for a woman who can keep up with his rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle and not become jealous of his one true passion — performing — which is said to be the reason for and destruction of most of his relationships.

The women, who will live with Michaels in his “Los Angeles rock palace,” will be put through various challenges in a test of their devotion to him as well as their understanding of everything rock ‘n’ roll. Those who win these challenges will join Michaels on “wild and exclusive excursions,” while “those who can’t hang like true backstage VIPs will be escorted out in bona fide rock star fashion,” VH1 said.
VH1 has found success with other series featuring celebrities looking for a soulmate, including “Flavor of Love” and “I Love New York,” both of which have set ratings records for the network.
Poison, which came out of the Los Angeles club scene in the mid-1980s, scored hits with such tunes as “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Unskinny Bop,” but its popularity faded as grunge took over in the early 1990s.

I have followed Poison since when they first came out in the 80′s. Not only was Talk Dirty to Me the first album that I owned but I still have it! Bret still looks great for his age…which isn’t old at all. And he has a great body and seems to be a loving and caring person. I have watched some of the show and feel shows like this are a waste of tv space but they are interesting none the least. I was surprised to see that Bret would have a show like this but sometimes that’s what celebrities do to stay in the spotlight. They find and audience and obviously he has one. I would have hoped he’d done a show to promote young aspiring artists but I guess the Flavor of Love bug bit him too. Non the less I like him he has great talent and a big heart and maybe this will open the door for him to do betting things with his talent.

Bret michael looks better than ever, I am from Venezuela and even chicks from there go crazy about bret, and I am talking about back then and now as well, he is my favorite artist, belive this, if I have a chance to see him in person… I believe he is not only looks but he has a kick ass personality.

Brett us so hot it’s ridiculous. He seems very down to Earth, but still with that sexy bad boy spice. I saw a recent picture of him without the “head gear” and no he’s not bald. It’s just his trade mark. Somestimes you might notice pics with the bandana just wrapped around the front and there is a ton of hair on top. Anyway, Dior… were u trying to be funny? Or Serious?

He has always been like that and he doesn’t have a problem with it. He starightens the hair too! I’m sure before Bret’s show is over, we are going to see him with out a hat.
