Brian Austin Green Wants to Work for Kassius

The nature of acting means that the dry spells are often just as prevalent as the busy times. But as a father to six-year-old Kassius Lijah, Brian Austin Green says he feels a new sense of urgency to keep those paychecks rolling in.

He might love the role of Derek Reese in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but he didn’t take the role for his art. He just didn’t have a lot of options!

“I wasn’t turning things down, [with] people banging on the door,” he joked in a recent interview with Scripps News. “When I was nine and didn’t work for a while, I was OK … now that I am a father, I am not as comfortable with it.”

Fortunately Brian now loves playing Derek because it allows him to show off his paternal side.

“It’s cool showing your child who you are, more than in the sense of being able to take care of the baby.”
