Again I do not agree with her loosing custody of her children. Just like any parent we all have our ups and downs, but we all do not have the world judging them at every step they make.

I have two children as well - now grown up. No, I never would have done the things Britney has done either. Not only would it be unthinkable, one has to have her money and lifestyle to participate in such activities. But money and lifestyle aside, she is one very ill lady. Post partum depression is a very serious psychiatric illness, which in its severest form can actually have the mother thinking of harming herself and her baby. It needs expert medical intervention and help. But it can be cured, and the majority of mothers go on to form a normal, healthy relationship with their child. Mental illnesses carry a stigma which physical illnesses do not, the irony being that many mental illnesses have a biological basis just as physical illnesses do. If Britney had been diagnosed with a form of cancer and her treatment rendered her unable to look after her children, would people be so judgemental, expecting her to "snap out of it". No. She would have been showered with compassion. People with serious mental illnesses are not self-indulgent, selfish people who can be cured by a good kick up the rear end. They need medical intervention, sometimes medication, counselling and lots of support and compassion. Just like anyone else who is ill for whatever reason. I hope she gets the help she needs and has the personal strength to get through her problems, because the real winners will be those two little boys.

Whether you like Britney's music or not, Jojo, is totally irrelevant. And for the record, I am not on anything. Sure she has made some bad decisions, behaved in an unstable manner, abused legal and illegal substances, etc, etc, but maybe instead of calling her a b!tch and laying the blame totally on her, perhaps some understanding of her unnatural childhhood and teenage years might give some clues into why she behaves this way. It is not usual for a child/teenager to be exposed to the media in the way Britney has been, and to be given the "celebrity" status that goes with it at such a tender age. Unfortunately, the accompanying money also gives access to a lifestyle she did not have the maturity or life experience to cope with. Is she to blame? Laying blame never achieves anything. Think of all the people who have benefited from and helped to push this young woman down the fame-at-all-costs-track -her own parents, agents, record companies, the media, etc. I bet they've all made a packet out of exploiting her. Remember the pictures of her at the tender age of 16 singing dressed like a hooker? I wonder whose decision that was? Britney deserves compassion, not judgement. The fact that she is unable to look after her own two little boys would have a lot to do with her own abnormal upbringing. I have two boys just a bit younger than Britney and realize that the most important things in bringing up children are stability, consistency, parents who provide a good role model and instil a sound set of values, and unconditional love. The chance for the child to be a child and live the life of a child probably also rates. Britney has huge mental problems and a massive challenge ahead of her in overcoming them. As a mother, I wish her all the luck in the world, for her own well-being, and that of her little boys.

Whether it's post partum depression or not, Britney is suffering a severe mental disorder and should be given all the support and compassion she requires to make her recovery. I agree with Jmkstck that Britney's current state of health and related behaviours could put her children at risk, and that must be acted upon for the sake of the children, but s/he seems somewhat judgemental in tone. Blaming Britney for her illness is a fruitless and ultimately unhelpful route to take. She needs expert and probably long term help, the support of family and genuine friends with the ultimate goal of regaining her health so that she can again effectively mother her two little boys. Britney is a victim of the money-making obsessed United States music industry which takes young kids with some talent, sexualizes them at an inappropriate age, pumps out hit after manufactured hit, and allows them to earn obcene amounts of money for very little work. This gives them access to a lifestyle at a very young age that they are not mature enough to cope with. Most kids of Britney's age when she was making her millions would have been more worried about their education and future job prospects. She is another example of the way the young kids are exploited and dumped when they start going off the rails from the "too much too soon for too little effort syndrome". Let's name some others, and we can go back quite a way - Elizabeth Taylor, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, etc, etc. The lesson for all of us in this is that it is the relationships we have with people that really matter - family and friends. Sure money can make the trip more comfortable, but it won't guarantee happiness.

Has it ever occured to anybody that Britney having had two children so close together may have caused her to suffer from post partum depression? She may not even realize that she was in a depression.

This woman is hell bent on destroying her life and thankfully someone saw fit to try to remove her babies from the fallout. What happens when Mommy passes out while giving them a bath; or baby finds her stash and ingests it; the list pf freak accidents is endless, and gets even more likely when mixed into a cocktail involving drugs and alcohol. Is their father any better? Well, he's not parading round without undergarments, seducing college age kids on magaizne covers, driving illegally, facing mandatory drug testing...the list goes on. Hoepfully, this step will help Britney reach a bottom before it's 6 feet under.

I think K-Fed's PR people are doing a good job of making him look good, hoping it might help his career. However, it will never work - K-Fed has no work ethic. He wants free money and he has taken Britney for everything he can get from her. And, to think that her grotesque mother encouraged he to marry him. It was a smart move on Britney's part, to cut her off - I just hope she never lets her back in her life. She is poison to Britney. She has used her, encouraged the sexualization of Britney from her pre-teen years. She ruined her daughter's life and where is she now? Off with KF trying to find more ways to get money from Britney. I hope Britney can find the right people to help her get through this - psychologist, lawyer, true friends, time to collect herself, find herself because she has no idea who she is. Her mother took over every part of her life from so early on that she couldn't possibly have a clue. Bless you Britney. #1, get help for yourself and find out who you are - the you can be the best mother you can be. K-Fed can't keep up this charade for much longer. He'll slip up. In the mean time you will be getting yourself together so that when you do get your kids back you will be able to give them all that you always wanted from your heart. Write songs for them. Sing for them. Be a role model for them. Your fans will love you most when you are yourself and when you live your best life. I wish you all the best and I hope that you will find yourself surrounded by love from people who mean it, but of course, first love yourself. Don't beat yourself up. Just move on from this day and do your best. Love, mamacita
