If you want to tour with Britney Spears you’d better be clean – and I don’t mean clean in the hygiene sense (though I’m sure that helps too). Allegedly, Britney orders random drug tests on her dancers as well as anyone else affiliated with her tour.
All that smoke is NOT from pot!
According to the source, Britney takes it very seriously when it comes to being completely clean on tour:
“Britney’s rule is clear – zero tolerance. No drink. No drugs. If you do not comply, you do not tour with Britney.”
I’m surprised by the alcohol factor. I mean, having a full-on raging alcoholic on stage would be a serious loose canon but I would have thought there wouldn’t be any problem with a beer or a glass of wine after a show as long as it isn’t having a negative effect on the show.
However, I completely agree with her zero tolerance on drugs. Britney had a really rough time when she was out of control and she’s worked hard to get herself back up to the top again. I think it makes good business sense that she would protect herself and her brand by not having any association with people who are drug users. Apparently Britney has fired several dancers in the past for that very reason, so I think it’s a good idea for anyone involved in her tour to be careful and follow her rules!
