Britney Spears first broke the news to her fans on Twitter (follow Britney here) that she had found a brand new home for herself. There had been several reports that she had been looking for the last little while, and she was finally successful.
She said, on Twitter:
“I just took my babies to our new home, and they loved it! I can’t wait to move in.”
According to X17 Online, Britney’s new home is on the market for $8.9 million and is located in Calabasas, California in the Oaks community. She has allegedly been seen around the property while things are being moved in, though she managed to avoid being photographed, which is a bit of a minor miracle.
The home, known as Chateau Suenos, was also available for rent for $19,000 per month; Britney is still having a house built so this new place is just temporary until construction is complete in about a year. Meanwhile, this home is located in a gated community within a gated community, so at least Britney should get some privacy when she’s at home. It also features some fun perks such as a massive home theater, elevator, beautiful pool, spa, and a full guest house. Nice!
Meanwhile, if you have $7 million burning a hole in your pocket, you can purchase her Studio City home. Considering the bad memories tied to that house, I’m sure Britney is very happy to be moving out!

It does look that way but they describe it as a gated community within another gated community so it’s probably harder for regular media to get in. I think these pictures were mostly taken for the realtor listing, so they might get more privacy even without the trees.
Wow. The place is kinda *exposed* to the media, isn’t it? Very few trees and all that. Nice, but weird choice in my opinion.
