Britney Spears rumored to be converting to Judaism for her boyfriend

Britney Spears never seems to escape rumors, but at least this one isn’t malicious – it’s just… a little bit odd to me.

Supposedly, Britney wants to convert to Judaism for the sake of her boyfriend Jason Trawick. The unnamed (of course) insiders claim that she has started consulting a rabbi for guidance and has been wearing a star of David around her neck. The word is that she wants to give her man’s religion a whirl to see what it’s like.

I’m all for exploring faith and finding what works for you and I certainly support Britney if she truly does want to attempt converting. Many people in history have converted to one religion or another for love.

I just don’t see why the star of David necklace automatically means that she’s converting. Isn’t it possible that she’s simply wearing it as a symbol of Jason’s beliefs and not necessarily her own?

I’ll bet Britney has a good laugh sometimes over all the rumors that float about in her name!
