I credit Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears for stepping in and helping to save not only Britney’s career but her entire life. Although the conservatorship is likely stifling for a grown woman at times, I don’t think Britney would even be here if it wasn’t for her dad.
However, after all this time, Britney Spears is seeking to end the personal conservatorship in court; the one Jamie has over her business will remain intact, at least for now. Jamie has always said he would like Britney to control her own life when the “time is right” and now the courts will start taking a look at the facts to decide if that time is now.
Lawyers and experts have been meeting as the first steps are taken. A court appointed psychiatrist will evaluate Britney’s capacity to control her own life. What a strange situation for a 29-year-old woman to be in!
Allegedly, Jamie Spears’ greatest fear is the thought that his daughter may allow bad influences back into her life, such as her ex-manager Sam Lufti who is currently ordered to stay away from Brit for three years. Let’s hope she realizes how dangerous that could be for her!
