Britney Spears Talks World Tour, Says “I’m Not Sad Anymore”

Thankfully, with the release of her 2008 album Circus, Britney Spears says that she’s been able to get back on track and prove people wrong about her. With the mental breakdown that she appeared to have suffered  for a little while, Britney wanted to prove that she has more in her and that she won’t be going away anytime 81202NR1_SPEARS_B_B-GR_07soon.

She says, “A lot of people thought I wouldn’t make it. People thought I was finished, didn’t they? I guess for a while last year it looked that way. Nothing I can do about the past. But I’m hoping to prove them wrong now. And I have really put everything I have into this new show.”

Most importantly, she says that she’s in a really good place right now, “I’m not sad any more. I was just so sad for such a long time, but not any more. And you know what? That feels really, really good. I’m happy. Truly. I feel like the girl who has it all. I have my family, my boys, my friends, my fans, this show.”

That is fantastic to hear! I’m glad she seems to be focusing on getting better and that she’s bringing her life back together.  I’m a Britney Spears fan. She’s a exactly what a performer should be like, but when that dark time in her life started, I was devastated. When she released her singles “Womanizer” and “Circus” I think everyone was relieved that she was finally starting to get back to being her old self. I wish her luck and I’m thrilled to hear she’s doing well!
