Britney Spears started her show with plenty of energy in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada last night – but then she abruptly walked off the stage after only a handful of songs, leaving fans bewildered and calling her name.
A formal announcement was made stating that Britney had problems with the smoke. The announcer stated:
“It’s become uncomfortable and unsafe for the performers, including Ms. Spears. The show will resume as soon as the air around the stage is clear.”
See someone’s video footage of the announcement:
No smoking – of any type! – during concerts, folks.
Fans waited in the dark for more than half an hour, but Britney returned to whip the crowd into a frenzy once again as she continued on with the show.
Britney‘s people did issue a formal apology to Vancouver fans on her website stating that there were ventilation problems causing illness for the people on stage.
It sounds like she made up for lost time with a lot of high energy though – the full review of the concert can be seen here.
