Here’s hush-hush from the Top Dawgs at “American Idol” – a major house-cleaning triggered by sinking ratings means Randy Jackson’s out as a judge next season, Dawg… and so is ding-dong wack-a-doodle Paula Abdul! “Ratings this year were the lowest in two years – one week, even ‘House’ beat it,” said a show insider. “The belief is that things have gotten stale, and ‘American Idol’ is now ‘American Idle.’ They really want to mix things up, create a whole new set, institute format changes – and get rid of Paula and Randy, replacing them with younger faces.”

According to the tabloid, the two (Randy and Paula) both have 3 year contracts signed in 2006 and which will have to be broken for that to happen.

oooh thatd be WAY COOL!! yay brit!! and we’d get to see more of her, it also means shed have to get her act together.
Last season there was “insider information” that they were switching out Paula for Courtney Love. Obviously not only a bad and stupid choice but it didn’t happen. I’d like to think this is the same in this case. Britney would not be a better choice. Frankly I’d rather have Courtney Love than Britney.
Also I wouldn’t mind if they replaced Randy. I don’t care for his comments… Dawg, Yo Yo Yo, blargh blargh blargh! But if they replaced Randy they’d have to make it worthwhile, and not someone just as idiotic.
I can’t wait, now I will watch Idol every time.
I dont watch American Idol, but if Britney ends up judging the show, I will definitely be watching. Go BRITNEY…..

I don’t think they will boot Randy or Paula. But Foxnews says Idol judge Simon is interested in managing Britney, and I think that would be a very good thing.
