Britney’s cigarettes fend off pregnancy rumors

With everyone on “belly watch” to see if Britney Spears is pregnant – especially when she was in Costa Rica wearing a bikini – many of the people who were sure she was expecting a third child have changed their tune after seeing the singer smoking a cigarette outside Bally’s gym recently.

I’m not entirely sure why smoking would automatically negate the pregnancy rumors. Although most women know it’s not a good idea to smoke while you’re pregnant, not everyone will actually quit. Some people just cut back a bit and others carry on like usual. Therefore, it would still be entirely possible for Britney to be pregnant even with a cigarette in her mouth.

On the other hand, I’ve never been on the pregnancy train to begin with. I always thought she was just a normal woman who has normal weight fluctuations and, uh, “bloating”. If an official pregnancy announcement does come out I’ll be very surprised.
