I took my 17 year old grandson to last years tryouts in NJ along with 16,000 other people standing on line from 5AM to 8:30 Sat & Mon.(door opens). They everyone sing for 30 seconds and then, it seemed automatically, said “thank you for coming but your not what we are looking for”. They took about 100 people, 75 of who couldn’t sing but were great for TV ratings and 25 who had nice voices.
Without prejudice, my grandson has a GREAT VOICE and is now waiting to hear from Universal Records. AI has changed greatly since AI2 and it’s a shame.
