So glad to see Jay Manuel come into his own as host of this show. Set ups are very similar to ANTM, except that our houses rock way more. And, I’m sorry, but the uber gay photos of Jay Manual about the house are not inspirational, just vain. The villains are present (Tara, Gina), the underdogs (Cori, Jessica), the most likely to succeed (Tia, Sinead) and the cannon fodder (Steff, Jacqueline, Mo and the first girl whose name I’ve already forgotten). Also present are the lame ass photo shoots – dead fish as accessories – and challenges wherein the bitch of the show (Tara) wins a diamond watch and rubs it in everyone’s face. So more of ANTM, only north of the border, so whenever they’re outside, they have parkas on. The great thing about this franchise is the commonality that binds beautiful, young, impossibly thin women everywhere: insecurity, bitchiness, unnecessary competitiveness, bad manners, stupidity, and short-sightedness (this has been my dream since I was ten! Now I’m 19!). Enjoy.
