I mean, how awesome would it be if Liam Styles Chang or Tyler Mullendore came back? Awesome.

And of all the Idol shows I watch (American Idol, Australian Idol, and Canadian Idol), I’ve always felt that Canadian Idol has the lowest standards for what it takes to get on the show. As cute and talented as she was, I don’t think Carly Rae Jepsen would have gotten within sniffing distance of third place if it had been one of the other Idol shows. Ditto some of their other alums like Rex Goudie (he probably perplexes me the most. I like him, though), Craig Sharpe, and Brandon Jones (who I also liked, honestly). Also, in no way were the Spigot brothers anywhere near the best that show has had to offer. Jacob Hoggard and Greg Neufeld come immediately to mind.

Some of their refusals really baffled me, though. I actually really liked Franco Baccari, but I guess the judges already saw season 6 of American Idol and didn’t feel the world needed another Blake Lewis. Oh well, I’m still addicted to this show anyway, and these judges are way more likable than their American counterparts.

Oh, and the song Omar sang is called “Knocks Me Off My Feet.”
