Tonight’s results show on Canadian Idol started with a bunch of group/pair performances that seemed a whole lot like the “Hollywood Week” auditions on American Idol. I wasn’t particularly fond of the format (maybe I just need to get used to it) but I did like most of the performances. I can’t wait to hear what you guys think of the eliminations!!!!

What do you think of this? I really disliked Lindsay Barr and am pretty okay with these cuts (would have liked to see Tetiana make it a little longer, though).

I thought the eliminations were not outrageous. Both of the Lindsays were terrible. Tetiana just seems unlikeable (it could be the whole AI rejection thing – I think I’m a bit biased) although I did like her “cruiseship” song – lol. Shaun wasn’t too bad. I thought Marie-Pierre was much worse. I really thought she sounded terrible, but I’m no expert. The judges seemed to think she was good. Ha ha I also thought Oliver was bad – although enjoyable bad. He was having way too much fun with the microphone stand and microphone. I can see people voting for him to keep him around for future antics. Word on the internet is that Lindsay Robins is a plant, so if that’s true, I’m happy she’s out. However – now there aren’t many ladies left! Go Lisa! Girl power!

I was pleased with the eliminations last night. I didn’t care for any of them but especially Lindsay Barr. She laughed herself right out of the competition. lol
I thought Oliver Pigott would be voted off. He was terrible.
robotluvr – I agree. The AI rejection stayed in my mind and made me dislike Tetiana and her facial expressions drove me nuts…
I didn’t think Tetiana should have gone home yet. Lindsay Robins bugged me no end. Lindsay Barr and Shaun… eh. The person I was REALLY unimpressed with was Omar. I thought he butchered his song (I don’t know what the judges were hearing, but he sounded really off-key to me!).
I was pretty okay with the eliminations. None of these 4 were charismatic enough or good enough overall to win. In terms of the actual elimination show – I thought the mini-group performances were fantastic. Every group sounded amazing. Could you perhaps upload the performances?
