Canadian Idol Brian Melo - Too Much Love Will Kill You

Okay, I’ve never been a huge fan of Brian Melo’s but he sang “Too Much Love Will Kill You” and I feel that he did a great job. Seriously. Zack, of course, the perpetual Debbie Downer had bad things to say but I did not agree.

Good on you, Brian!

    Favourite performance of the night.
The vocals were sleek and smooth, and he did the song and Freddie, total justice. I felt the emotion, he didn’t play around with the song too much, and it was just an all-around beautiful rendition.

I agree with Van on this one… Brian was the best of the night. He was the only one that really brought the intensity and passion and connected to the core of the song. And, as always, I loved the tone of his voice. I just hope he has a sufficient fan base to stay in the competition longer than lesser talents with bigger fan bases.

    Agreed.

Brian seems to be sneaking up under the radar. I don’t think he should be the winner if it was to come down to someone like him and Greg, but he should definitely stay around longer than Matt, Dwight, Tara, and probably even Jaydee.

L, I would have to agree with your list of who should leave before Brian. I know it’s a little early to predict the final two, but I think it’s going to be Greg and Carly Rae. I would love it if Brian could be part of the top three.
