I was very disappointed with the results of the show on Wednesday, with the elimination of Greg. I believe that he was the Canadian Idol winner. Because Greg is gone from the show, myself and all of my family do not watch the Canadian Idol show, and may never watch it again in the new season.

I thought he did pretty well… i like his voice and presentation almost always….way better than most of the other contestants…all the best people are gone now.. IMO. Pretty sad.

I can’t believe what just happened. There has to be some kind of mistake with the phone lines. The best three ended up as the bottom three. If this is for real I will not be watching Canadian Idol anymore. It’s a farce!!!

Greg? Eliminated? it was so sad, i cried.
i thought he was going to win, i agree with ben, canada got it WRONG.

i am shocked. greg was not my favourite, but i expected him to win.

Yes, apparently it’s the version by Gavin DeGraw on the Killer Queen Tribute Album. I haven’t heard it either, but I thought it was a smart choice to go with the newer arrangement even if it’s not Greg’s own original arrangement.

At first I though he was trying way too hard to make it his own, but I think the judges mentioned that this was a newer version of the song (and knowing Greg, he probably did a really good version of it… I haven’t heard this “original new” version, though). Greg is still one of my favourites.

I’m just impressed that he was able to take such an iconic Queen song and make it sound like his own. It wasn’t my favourite performance of his, but that’s a pretty high standard that he’s set for himself so I still think he did very well this week.

good voice, just didnt like what he did with the song…
but it doesnt matter, does it? i think (unfortunately) he’s taking it all.

The judges loved it, but for some reason, I really didn’t.
I mean it was alright, but it’s a song that’s been so overdone over the years, I think it just made the performance even more monotonous.
I like that Greg attempted to make it sound a litte more 21st century, and his voice was smooth, but it just didn’t totally work for me. I wasn’t really won over.
