LOL – watching Jaydee Bixby singing “I Want to Break Free” with a smile on his face during the rehearsal was too funny (he’s adorable!). I actually liked his new look tonight.
At least he found a song that he could sing in his style, sometimes that is the hardest part!

I really enjoyed your performance last night, doing Queen’s break free. You do have to listen to what the judges and Queens said to you. Listen and remember what they say to you. Last night I couldn’t even get a line out of Drumheller, that is how busy it was here in Drumheller. Keep doing what you know and do best. Drumheller has these signs all over and your picture is in my window too.

Another one of my favourite Queen songs… but he would have sounded a million times better if he didn’t once again attempt to put on another one of his Elvis impersonations.

I’m afraid I don’t know what Zack found appealing in this performance. At the risk of being blasted by the Jaydee fans, I found this performance to be like an Elvis impersonator doing a karaoke version of Queen. I just don’t think that Jaydee has the versatility or maturity to be the next Canadian Idol.
weirdgrrl, I agree with you. I’ve never been the biggest Jaydee fan. Something about last night was oddly appealing for me, but still, not enough versatility and too much imitation for me.
liss – I understand his style, but there were subtle moments in last night’s performance where he wasn’t singing ‘rockabilly’ and he actually didn’t sound half bad. It really does mostly come off as an Elvis impersonation.
I don’t think it was an “Elvis impersonation”. I think that’s just the way he sounds. It was like Elvis doing Queen. It is what it is.
I don’t see Jaydee winning, though, so it might be better for him to get voted off. The sooner that happens, the sooner he can start his awesome career as a country/rockabilly singer.
i agree with L – although i adore him i do not see him winning. however, i am not the least bit disapointed by this: Jaydee is going to be another Jacob Hoggard. he’s gonna end up being more famous than whoever actually wins, a million times over.
LOL – I knew this was coming! I agree that Rockabilly is his style but there were times when it did come off a little Elvis-y (when he sang towards the end “I want to break free – baby” for example).
I like Jaydee and I don’t think he means to be an impersonator but hopefully, with time, age and experience he’ll learn to develop his own distinct style
i actually agree with that comment, Jeanne. he’s young and is still finding himself and his place within his style of music. for now though, i think he kills it

it is very hard to define the “it” factor ….but whatever “it” is …mr bixby has “it” in “spades”…. he is a nautural raw talent …….not only will he win Canadian Idol,but also he will be a huge success in whatever he decides to do in life !!!
This guy is way too animatronic. He sings as if the words aren’t supposed to mean anything. Just a string of random sounds that sound pretty.
hey there all I have to say is jaydee bixby…is awesome at everything he does and sings. he has a voice like elvis..how is he suppose to sound like queen…i think he did an amazing job…he sang it the way he should have for his voice and all of his fans should appreciate it..thanks jaydee we love you and think your already our canadian idol..Norma Tatchell/Mackenzie Scanlon
jaydee has never been and will never be …like a mr kalan porter…in the bottom three,,,,i am sure if the voting results were ever revealed, that he would walk away with this competition in a heart beat !!!…can you imagine this guy in a couple of years from now ….can you spell SUPERSTAR
Oh For SURE Last night on IDOL Elvis Song was Superb, Next Week is the Standards.. this Young Man gives me goosebumps.. He has a beautiful Voice for his age, and charisma Let’s aLl vote for this Rising Star Jaydeee Bixy Vote vote vote!!!

hm i have wanted to say this for a while… but that “baby” he did during this performance was actually part of the song.
not sure if people knew, but ive spoken to people who thought he added that in to sound like elvis…
Jake gould needs to be removed. He has no idea what an idol is. I feel his comments did it in for jaydee and I don’t think he knows what he talks about. He just likes to spout off.
OMG!!Jaydee is amazing..he is talented and by far one of the best looking guys ever!! I was blessed with the oppourtunity of seeing Brian Melo, Carly Rae Jepson and himself on the telus tour in belleville. I had front row tickets and he is such a charming guy!!! After the show i got to meet him and get my picture taken with him. He knew i liked him and gave me a bunch of hugs.He did two shows in belleville and before the second show the three idols did a signing at the mall.I had won wristbands and I was thrilled.I was so happy to meet the guy who had made me swoon during idol. He was just as charming as the first time i met him and i got another pic with him. I was estactic that i got to him not once but twice and i will never forget thsoe two days. I cant wait till he puts out his own cd and then goes on tour. I would love to meet him again and see how he had matured since canadian idol. I thought he was the cutest and sweetest thing I had ever saw on T.V. and when i met him he did not disapoint. I LOVE JAYDEE AND I ALWAYS WILL! xoxox
