Canadian Idol host, Ben Mulroney, has proposed to his girlfriend of 1 year, Jessica Brownstein. Where did this exciting proposal occur? At Nick’s in Montreal! For those of you who don’t know, this is a casual eatery and, I guess, not everyone wants to get engaged after a fancy meal with the ring in a champagne glass. As long as they find it romantic then who cares, right?
According to Is This Happening?, a waitress at the diner reports that Ben was noshing on a bacon cheeseburger and Jessica had a salad with walnuts and apples as they sat at the counter. The waitress then said, "I turned around and there he was, down on one knee… and then they were hugging and kissing and she was saying, ‘Yes, yes, yes.’ "
Jessica has got an interesting life ahead of her as Ben’s wife – he is the son of former Canadian Prime Minister, Brian Mulroney, a man who, to-this-day, continues to find himself embroiled in controversy.
