Check out these highlights from episode seven of Celebracadabra, watch as Hal Sparks and C. Thomas Howell battle it out for the final challenge, appearing at the Steve Wyrick Theater in Las Vegas!
Hal and Tommy go on the major offensive, tossing verbal attacks in their interviews. They won’t become friends now.
Watch as the boys arrive at the Steve Wyrick Theater, and find out how difficult their challenges are going to be. Jonathan Leavit appears in style, and Hal and Tommy learn that their shows must include two grand illusions. The stage is definitely set up for very large productions, and their challenge is daunting.
For making it this far, Hal and Tommy get to pick a “special power” –they each can have another fellow contestant, or one of the other magicians, come back to assist them. At coach David Regal’s suggestion, Tommy asks for magician Murray Sawchuck to return and help him. Hal takes a shot at Tommy by refusing to bring back a magician coach “out of respect” for his coach, Rocco. [Ouch!] He asks for Kimberly to come back and help him, instead. A shot at Tommy, but Tommy did it after being coached to ask for Murray.
Steve Wyrick takes the boys to his warehouse, where they can select their Grand Illusions. Hal quickly jumps in to select very showy ones, and Tommy appears a bit miffed that he did that. Tommy is intent on beating Hal by having a select few illusions, done extremely well.
Watch as Tommy and David work on his illusions. Soon, though, Tommy’s “special power”, Murray, appears, and his glitzy, Vegas tendencies clashes heavily with David, and his production ideals.
When the women arrive to work on the illusions, Hal takes over, seeming to want to impress them. Obviously, his big ego stands between him and much needed guidance from Rocco, who has been shoved into the sidelines.
Tommy has serious trouble, when Murray resists David’s ideas, then, one of his grand illusions has technical issues.
