There was some good news and some bad news this week for two former cast members of Celebrity Rehab.
First, the bad news. Tawny Kitean from season two was arrested on suspician of driving under the influence. She posted $2,500 in bail and was released. Any addict’s struggle to live a sober life is an ongoing one. A sober life is filled with setbacks and working to get back on the right path again afterward. I hope this was only a small setback and that she continues to work for her own health and sobriety.
As for the good news, Jaimee Foxworth from season one of the show was granted a restraining order against former boyfriend Michael Shaw. She charged that he was abusive in such ways as dragging her through broken glass and other incidents. I say, good for her! No one deserves to be abused and the fact that Jaime is now able to love herself enough to stand up for herself is a very good sign in her recovery. I hope this is another step closer to her healthy and sober life.
