Dunbar and Paula had a brief hookup on The Island, but on The Duel II a jealous Paula sabotaged Dunbar's girl Kimberly, prompting him to call her "the worst friend I ever had." Interestingly, however, it's Paula who says in this episode, "He sucks the life out of me!"

I figured that part of the reason that MTV brought back Rachel and Aneesa was to play up the catfight angle, but these two sound like they're actually really getting along. After working on the skeletons in their closets, they're willing to actually communicate in order to win. Then again, Rachel might never fully forgive Aneesa for not appreciating her during their relationship.
Without a doubt, MTV is setting up Diem and CT as the main "couple" in this show: They dated for a year and a half but then broke up, with Diem saying, "We are not Facebook friends." Theirs was a charged relationship because Diem, recovering from ovarian cancer, felt like damaged goods, but CT made her feel like a woman again.
However, she chose her career over him, and he's obviously bitter about getting dumped and now being forced to see her. "You go from no communication at all to she's in my face," he says. "The girl drives me crazy." Good crazy, right?
"It was just weirdo meets weirdo," Cara Maria reminisced about falling for Abram, but it was more like cat meets wolf. Abram says Cara is wily like a cat, and she's afraid of having a relationship with him because of his fiery temper. (Not to mention a drunken run-in with the police.) Still, these two actually seem like they're interested in rekindling things.
Ty and Emily started hooking up on The Real World: DC, but it's obvious there was never any real love between them. A prank war turned really ugly, with Emily declaring she never wanted to be on a team with him again. As Ty said in the confessional, "I hate her."
So, Dustin and Heather are actually together -- or at least, they were when the show started. They already weathered potential dealbreakers on Real World: Last Veags, like Heather finding out that Dustin had worked for a gay porn website. But he's confident that they'll make it through these challenges, and even thinks that the other teams will underestimate them.
Camila was attracted to Johnny on Cutthroat, but he had a girlfriend at the time, and (surprisingly) nothing actually happened between them. But now that Johnny's single, "I have free reign to do things now that I couldn't do then," he says.
What broke up Leroy and Naomi's "relationship" was him hooking up with other girls even though Naomi said she didn't mind. Now, however, she has feelings for Leroy, but he refuses to acknowledge them. Instead, he's focused on the cash prize. Too bad Naomi's new mantra is, "If Leroy hooks up with another girl, I would kill him."
Although Robin and Mark feel no ill will toward each other after their short-lived relationship, it's a whole different story as competitors. Mark is bummed that he got paired with Robin based on her past Challenge losses, calling her "a turd."
I had high hopes for these two, mostly because they don't have some bitter, drawn-out history. They kissed a few times, but Nate soon saw Priscilla as more of a sister than a girlfriend. She was bummed, but thinks that it'll give them a leg up: "Nate is here with me because we made out once for ten seconds. We don't understand each other. If nothing else, we've made a better relationship."
Sounds like they jinxed themselves!
"This is like the one night stand you never want to see again... and he's your partner," Sarah says of Vinny. He seems to think that he can get her to hook up with him again if he wins a challenge for her, but she calls him a selfish lover.
Jasmine treats her hookup with Tyrie on Rivals as a showmance: She was relieved when it was over, so she could go back to her boyfriend and patch things up. She's so committed to making sure that they're not seen as a couple that, when confronted with a framed photo of them kissing from a past show, she smashed it on the floor and tossed it in the trash. That's quite a statement.
Wes dropped the ball when he and Mandi first hooked up, choosing his business over her. Now that she has a new boyfriend, she has no interest in having Wes back; however, he says that he'd rather have her than the prize money.
Let's leave you with Mandi's quote: "I unfortunately slept with the man with the biggest mouth in Challenge history, and I hope that's not bad for me, or him."
