Safe to say that Snow White and the Huntsman is going to be good. Better yet, it’s going to be gorgeously shot, with a very dark plot, and Charlize Theron just cemented herself as one of 2011′s most chilling villains. Don’t believe me? Check out the trailer, which shows us the modern spin on many elements of the Snow White story: The Queen’s background, the magic mirror, the huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) tasked with killing Snow who begins to train her for rebellion instead.

And even though Kristen Stewart isn’t my pinnacle of beauty, she still looks lovely and ethereal here. Maybe it’s the costumes, or the fact that she doesn’t speak at all, but she embodies Snow’s early naivete and the burden of her beauty really well.
So check it out! (No, really… NBC has been blocking the trailer everywhere, so this one may not live to see the weekend.)
