Charm School - What Goes Around, Comes Around

The show began with the girls being called to the grand hall for their next assignment. They were told the latest Commandment:

cs_6_2.jpg

Mo’Nique told the girls that it’s important to learn to give back and that they would do this by giving the clothes off their backs to a local charity thrift store.

Each girl was told to choose a partner to team up with for the challenge. They were told to go upstairs and go through their things and decide what they could donate. Each donated item would be given monetary value and the team with the largest donated money amount would win the challenge and be safe from elimination.

Of the remaining teams, one team would be expelled, both members would go home.

Saaphyri was worried because she didn’t have that much to begin with and wouldn’t have much to be able to donate.

Mo’Nique told them that every time she gave back, she got ten-fold in return. The girls were not that excited about parting with their things.

Brooke chose Leilene because she had three suitcases of stuff, so she was sure to have a lot she could get rid of. When Brooke went through some of Leilene’s things, she said they needed an instruction manual to know how they would be put on. It was a lot of stripper clothes.

cs_6_4.jpg
cs_6_5.jpg
cs_6_6.jpg

Darra was sure that her mother would “whip her ass” when she got home for giving away all her things. So Darra teamed up with Schatar because she knew that Schatar had a lot of expensive things she could part with. Darra thought she wouldn’t have to give away all that much.

cs_6_7.jpg

Saaphyri felt that she had to give almost everything she had brought in order to give as much as the other girls so she wouldn’t have to go home.

cs_6_9.jpg

Leilene decided to give away her mother’s rings. They were a keepsake and she said that her mother was gone, but if they could help someone else, it was a good idea to give them away. (Wow! That’s amazingly generous!)

Brooke didn’t want to let her give the rings away, but she said it was her decision to do it.

Saaphyri started to cry about the fact that she didn’t have much to give and that she was giving almost everything she had. Nikki told her that it wasn’t the quantity of what she gave, but the spirit with which she gave it.

Becky was so happy to be partnered with Saaphyri because she felt that Saaphyri had given all she could and was great for doing it. (They are both so cool. I hope they don’t go home!!)

cs_6_10.jpg

The thrift shop didn’t want to give a value to Leilene’s stripper clothes. Brooke said that they could open up a whole sex shop, just with Leilene’s clothes. (LOL!)

cs_6_11.jpg

The girls were told, no bras. So Brooke clarified by asking, “If it wasn’t worn on your breasts or vagina, you can sell it?” They told her that was true. (Forgive my ignorance, but how do one’s breasts contaminate an item? Just wondering…)

cs_6_13.jpg

Since most of the clothes in Leilene’s bag were stripper clothes, they wouldn’t take any of them. The team was worried that they would lose.

Leilene pulled out her mother’s rings and offered them. Brooke told Leilene that even with as important as the competition was to them, she did not want Leilene to sell her rings.

cs_6_14.jpg

Brooke told Leilene that the competition wasn’t worth it and that she would be making a mistake to sell the rings, but Leilene did it anyway. (OMG!! I feel like crying. I can’t imagine doing that!)

The store only gave them $90 for the rings. (Are you kidding me? That’s terrible!!)

Leilene said that her Mom was watching over her and would be proud of her. (She really touched my heart with this one. My mother’s gone and I can’t imagine letting go of her wedding rings!)

Shay was being difficult and trying to get the guys at the store to give her more money for everything. She started taking items back because they wouldn’t give her enough for them.

cs_6_16.jpg

Schatar told the man that she only buys couture and started to pull out gowns she had worn on red carpets. They wouldn’t take some of them because they were damaged. He told her that some of her items had a strange smell to them, so they wouldn’t take them either. Apparently, she had brought them in dirty and they smelled and had underarm stains on them. The store wouldn’t take them. (What did she think? Of course, they don’t want stinky clothes!)

cs_6_17.jpg

Saaphyri was told that they would only give her $15 for her $200 boots so she told them she wouldn’t sell them. Some of her stuff was not sellable too. She said she was ready to take the boot and punch him in the face with it.

cs_6_21.jpg

She said that she had brought everything she owned except for her uniform and that they were making her feel like she was worth nothing. She started to cry again.

cs_6_24.jpg

She got furious and took back all her stuff. She was really upset. She ran off crying and blew her nose on a sleeve. (Yuck!!)

cs_6_26.jpg

Becky then felt that Saaphyri was letting her down by not thinking of her being eliminated with her. Becky said that if Saaphyri wasn’t going to sell any of her clothes, she would definitely make sure she got rid of all of hers.

Then Saaphyri realized that she had to pull herself together and think of Becky too because she was part of a team. She started taking the prices the man was offering and he even raised his offer to $20 for the boots.

cs_6_27.jpg

Saaphyri saw a lady buy her boots and ran to ask her what she had paid for them. The woman told her $20. Saaphyri told her to enjoy them. She realized that the man was being fair after all. It was a charity store.

cs_6_29.jpg

When they got back to the house, Darra saw that Saaphyri had sold every single thing that she owned so she offered her some of her own things. (That’s so generous! Very cool!)

Saaphyri thought it was really fake and she was mad at Darra for even offering it. (It’s hard to take gifts from people, even when you really need them. I understand how that must have made Saaphyri fell. But I wish she could have been more gracious about it. Darra did seem sincere.)

Saaphyri started a big argument with Darra because she said that it made her feel like a charity case. They really got into it in the kitchen.

cs_6_30.jpg

Darra got mad back because she had really been trying to be nice. (I can’t blame her for that either! What a mess!)

Then, Mo called them all to the grand hall again. She then told them the totals of their donations.

Darra and Schatar donated a total of $641.

cs_6_32.jpg

Becky & Saaphyri gave $868.

cs_6_33.jpg

Leilene & Brooke sold $823.

cs_6_34.jpg

Larissa & Shay sold $871.

cs_6_35.jpg

Mo told them that Larissa & Shay were the winners until Leilene gave up her Mama’s rings. That brought their total to $913. That meant that they won the challenge. As their reward, they were told they would go on a shopping spree at Forever 21 the next day.

cs_6_36.jpg

Saaphyri said that she thought that it was really unfair.

Mo told Brooke & Leilene that they would get to choose another team to join them for the shopping spree.

cs_6_38.jpg

Larissa was bitter and said that stripper clothes were probably worth a lot more than she thought. She called Leilene a crack whore. (That was uncalled for!)

Brooke & Leilene said that they didn’t want any conflict on the shopping trip so they picked the team that had congratulated them, Darra & Schatar. (I wish they had chosen Saaphyri & Becky, but what can you do?)

cs_6_39.jpg

Saaphyri was angry that they didn’t choose her and Becky. What a mess.

At the store, the girls ran around grabbing clothes and taking them off the mannequins and it was a free-for-all.

cs_6_42.jpg

Shay & Larissa decided that they needed to figure out a plan to make sure that someone else would have to go home. They decided to set Schatar up so she would have to go home. They decided to put Leilene’s picture under Schatar’s bed because she was known for stealing.

cs_6_43.jpg

(I have to say that I do think Schatar needs to go home, but I don’t think that is the best way to do it. She deserves to go home fair and square, not because of deceit.)

cs_6_44.jpg
cs_6_45.jpg
cs_6_46.jpg

Saaphyri was still upset and went to Mo’Nique to talk to her about everything. She told Mo about Darra offering the clothes to her and how she had reacted with so much emotion to it all. She told her that the man at the thrift store felt like he was devaluing her. She started to cry again and told Mo how she didn’t want to feel like a charity case.

cs_6_48.jpg

Mo’Nique totally understood why she felt the way she did and was glad that she had told her how she felt. Mo told her to stay in control of herself and not to let anyone else have the power to control her emotions. She encouraged her and told her to keep growing. (I think Saaphyri seems to be really growing from this experience. It’s a hard, but good lesson for her. This show really is starting to make a difference for some of these girls.)

The shoppers got back to the house and Leilene thought she must have misplaced her Mm’s picture. She started looking all around for it.

cs_6_50.jpg

Shay & Larissa started to laugh because their plan seemed to be working. (I have to say that I just don’t like what they did.)

cs_6_54.jpg

Leilene asked to look through Schatar’s things for her mother’s picture. Schatar said that it would be mean for someone to put her picture in Schatar’s suitcase.

Larissa told Leilene that she should look closely at Schatar’s things because she’s sneaky. Leilene lifted Schatar’s mattress and found the picture. She was understandably upset.

cs_6_57.jpg

Becky got upset about it too. She said that it was on a whole new level now. That was over the top, taking a picture of someone’s mom.

Schatar walked in, not knowing what was up and the others were all mad about the picture. Leilene asked her one more time if she knew where the picture was, and she said that she didn’t.

Becky told Schatar that it had been under her bed. Schatar said that she had nothing against Leilene so why would she take the picture.

No one was buying it. They all thought it was Schatar that had taken it.

Larissa was gloating about the whole thing and felt that her plan would work.

Leilene went to Mo’Nique and told her the whole thing about the picture. Mo called Schatar into the office and asked to hear her side. Mo said that Leilene should keep her pictures close, because someone in the house is a thief.

cs_6_61.jpg
cs_6_62.jpg
cs_6_63.jpg

The girls were called to the elimination ceremony.

Two teams were called tot he carpet. First was Schatar & Darra. Then came Larissa & Shay. Mo told Saaphyri that she had given everything she owned and that no one could fault her for that so she and Becky would be safe. (That is so totally fair! Good!!)

cs_6_64.jpg

Keith told Schatar that the things she had brought were not the quality that she claimed they were and that she had not gotten the idea of generosity at all. He told Darra that she had been negotiating like she was in a swap meet, not trying to give to charity.

cs_6_65.jpg

Nikki told Schatar & Darra that she thought their strategy was to give as little as possible. That was not in the spirit of the challenge at all.

Keith said that Larissa & Shay had been all wrong in the fact that they had taken most of the things they had brought out with them because the man wouldn’t give them enough for the items. That was not the spirit of generosity.

cs_6_66.jpg

Nikki told the girls that the lesson was that they should not let their possessions possess them.

Then, Mo’Nique confronted Schatar about the pictures under her mattress. Schatar denied having taken them.

Mo then asked each of the girls if they had taken the pictures and they all denied having taken them. Even Larissa & Shay lied and said that they had not. Schatar denied it again.

Mo told her that they didn’t have any proof that she had taken them, but they did have history. History told them that Schatar was a thief.

Schatar was expelled and Darra had to go too since she was her teammate.

Darra was upset to have to go because she said she had so much more she wanted to learn. (I am sorry to see her go, because she was one of the girls I liked in the house. Even though I’m happy to see Schatar go, I hate it that Darra had to go too.)

cs_6_67.jpg

Schatar was unhappy because she had been falsely accused, but she said that whoever had really done it would go down. (I wonder how she could say that…?)

cs_6_69.jpg

Mo’Nique told the rest of the girls that if one of them had been the one to really take the pictures, that that person would have it come back to haunt them.

cs_6_71.jpg

Then Mo’Nique did the most wonderful thing. She called Leilene down and told her that she was honored to be in her presence because she had been so generous to give away her mother’s rings and her memories. Then she gave the rings back to her. (I’m tearing up again. This really touched me. I’m so happy that Mo did that. Leilene doesn’t need to lose her mother’s rings. I’m happy she got them back.)

cs_6_70.jpg

I have mixed feelings this week about the eliminations. I’m happy to see Schatar go home, but not happy that it was because Larissa & Shay lied and set her up.

I’m also not happy to see Darra go. I really liked her and hoped she would be around longer.

What do you think? Were you satisfied with the eliminations this week? What do you think should have happened?

I think that Schatar got what was coming to her.

I believe it was in fact fair, since in “past history” she only stayed due to a technicality of winning a challenge and being save from elimination.

As much as this was a competition/game, it just wouldn’t be right if you get away with sneakiness, vindictiveness, nastiness, etc.

As for Larissa & Shay, Schatar was right, “whoever did take those pictures is going down…”

    How can she said that…?

Well, probably the same way the Devil knows you will not get away with doing evil. Probably she had being nasty enough to others in her personal life, to notice how things always come back to so much worse. After all, what she did to “nevaeh”, aol, was not fair either.

As far as Leiline, I am so happy to see her improve in the competitions. I always liked her. I think she is a very nice person that just needs to learn how to swim in a pool full of hungry sharks.

I don’t appreciate she being seemed as weak, but this is a necessary experience she must have, since people in this world are like the ones she is facing. In actuality is much worse, since people without your best interest in hard, usually hid behind courtesy, and pretend they are your friend when in actuality, they try to undermined your intelligence.

In conclusion, I obviously enjoy the show tremendously, to my surprise, I believe it is enough of a guilty pleasure to watch every week, and with enough substance in the conclusion of every episode to learn from it.
