Christina Aguilera was destined for stardom.
In 1988, when she was just eight years old, Christina appeared on a Sunday morning program and sang A Sunday Kind Of Love. During the next two years, Christina continued to sing at various events and successfully auditioned for Star Search, a highly-popular U.S. television talent competition. Although Christina didn’t win on the show, her television appearance pushed her into the homes of millions of Americans and overnight, Christina Aguilera became a household name. Americans may not have remembered Christina a few weeks later, but for that moment, she was one popular little girl!
As Christina Aguilera continued to gain recognition as a talented young singer, she began to sing The Star Spangled Banner at local sporting events. Quite an accomplishment for 11-year old Christina, she sang the National Anthem during America’s Stanley Cup Hockey Championship series.

Awesome series! Can’t wait to see more. I’m a big fan of Christina’s talent, and it is really fun to watch her evolve over time. Truly a labor of love, but much appreciated! Kudos!
