In my ongoing Christina Aguilera 101: series, I’ve been taking readers back to learn about how Christina Aguilera came to be the superstar that she is today.
We’ve seen Christina sing A Sunday Kind of Love, Break It To Me Gently, Black Velvet and even the Christmas carol What Child Is This?. This was all before she joined The New Mickey Mouse Club (MMC).
Once Christina started singing, dancing and acting on MMC, she became very popular with the fans and frequently sang as the ‘lead singer’ on the show. Sometimes she was introduced as ‘Christina’ and other times as ‘Christina with…’

Everything about Christina Aguilera was growing. Her voice was strengthening, her dancing was getting (somewhat) better, and her confidence as a singer and performer was growing day by day. It is no surprise that her fellow Mouseketeers often called her ‘Diva’.
