Wow! Last week I posted about our chance to vote for the best Madison Square Garden show of 2000-2009 because Christina Aguilera was one of the nominees.
Today I found out that Christina Aguilera did win as the best show this decade! Clearly her fans have spoken and we helped bring her right up to the top. Christina’s show was back in March of 2007 which was her first headlining show at MSG; she had also opened a show back in 2000 for TLC.
The top ten votes came in as follows:
1. Christina Aguilera, 45.7%
2. Michael Jackson, 43.6%
3. Concert for New York City, 7.9%
4. U2, 0.88%
5. JAY-Z, 0.58%
6. Jonas Brothers, 0.49%
7. Billy Joel, 0.41%
8. Dixie Chicks, 0.09%
9. Gwen Stefani, 0.08%
10. Shakira, 0.07%
I’m impressed! I honestly expected Michael Jackson to win since everyone is remembering all of his incredible musical successes. It was very close too, but look how they blew away all the rest of the competition.
