Christina Aguilera is a fashion icon. Isn’t she?
Recently, I wrote about how Christina Aguilera has mastered the art of seduction, and that where you find fashion and style, you’ll find Christina Aguilera.
Well, after seeing Christina out and about in New York and Los Angeles this week I was beginning to wonder what the heck I was thinking when I wrote that! Then I decided it wasn’t me. Christina Aguilera IS a fashion icon.
The problem is that this week she decided to try some new outfits, and in my eyes the week was a bust…so to speak.
Christina started the week in New York kicking off her Inspire campaign at Macy’s in Herald Square. Christina was on hand to introduce her new perfume and then signed the bottles for 200 people who bought her perfume. Very cool.
I actually like the photo above and I think Christina looks pretty. But it’s all a bit excessive — the eyes, the lips, the stark blonde hair and yes, Christina’s bulging boobs.
In My Opinion…
There are an awful lot of photos of Christina from the signing and undoubtedly she was caught at every unappealing angle possible. But bad photography doesn’t explain the dress, the eyes or the lipstick.

I’ll keep this post specific to the dress Christina Aguilera wore to the Inspire kick off in New York City. I must say I think it’s absolutely gorgeous. I love the greens and blues and the little splash of pink and purple. But mama Christina, it’s a wee short and a bit tight!
Christina has a beautiful figure but that doesn’t mean she has to wear a dress as though she is a Barbie doll who doesn’t actually have to walk in it!
Even Christina would have to admit to the dress being too tight. Look how she’s holding it in place as she walks!

I love the dress, so the dress is a hit. On Christina, it’s a big miss. I think it’s about 2-3 inches too short. Christina’s boobs are too much for the Inspire launch. I don’t love the thick patent leather shoes that Christina wore all week long, and I think the near neon pink lipstick is just too pink for her tones.

I thought Christina had more class than this. It seems she’s trying to look too sexy to the point of no class.
I love the dress but it doesn’t fit. It’s too short and too tight. And there’s way too much boobs showing. Christina isn’t wearing the dress, it’s wearing her. You can tell she’s not comfortable by the way she’s pulling it down. It’s not a seductive look, it’s not a classy look. Christina has a dynamite figure but this isn’t the way to display it.
