Spanish is my favorite language, I wish I was able to say that I’m fluent but alas I’m not. I can struggle my way through it, usually butchering the grammar badly. I can make myself understood and survived an afternoon in a non-tourist part of Cancun (yes, it exists!) where no one spoke English. But unfortunately I don’t *really* speak it.
Since I love to listen to it though, I am very fond of Christina Aguilera’s Spanish songs. In this video clip, she was performing live in the UK. It kicks off with a great dance number from her dancers, then Christina sings “Contigo En La Distancia”.
I’m already eager to hear her new album, but I confess I’d also love it if she’d put out another Spanish album!
Ah, a tender song that really hits the heart.
