Now Magazine has a cute article explaining why Christina Aguilera describes herself as a control freak.
Christina says that she grew up with a lack of stability between her father’s military work causing frequent moves and her parents splitting up which led to hopping back and forth between homes. Because of that, she claims that she needed to find something she could control which led to her being a “huge organization freak”. Apparently everything in her home comes with labels and its own designated place.
Christina also says that music became an escape for her – “As a very young girl there was a lot of domestic violence in the home. [...] So I think I just gravitated towards music as an escape.”

I commend Christina for not letting her childhood life control her life today. She has control over her life now and I don’t think anybody can keep her down.
