Christina Aguilera kissed Russell Brand? Huh? What’s that all about?
According to Britain’s The Sun, Comedian Russell Brand, who hosted the 2008 MTV VMAs, kissed and told.
It’s amazing how the Internet gloms onto a story and ‘runs’ with it. If you Google “Brand Kisses Aguilera” you’ll get page after page after page that says that Comedian Russell Brand kissed Aguilera, Perry and Pink. What a headline!
Is it true? Ah folks, the details ARE in the fine print.
Before his VMA show Russell snogged pop stars PINK and KATY PERRY for scenes in the follow-up to movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall, called Get Him To The Greek, where he reprises his role as frisky rocker Aldous Snow.
He also filmed a scene with CHRISTINA AGUILERA for the movie while on the Paramount set. He revealed: “Christina was amazing. She is unbelievable — a perfect object. How could you ever talk to her about anything other than sex?
“In the scenes with Pink and Katy Perry I had to do kissing. I got to snog them both in a day.
I don’t know about you, but the way I read this, Russell Brand DID NOT kiss Christina Aguilera! Brand kissed Pink and Katy Perry — I mean, he SNOGGED Pink and Perry — and filmed a scene (no English translation required here) with Christina.
Not surprisingly, I don’t think Brand’s PR folks are going to issue a statement discrediting the misinterpretation. If Russell Brand didn’t actually get to kiss Christina Aguilera, his tongue was probably wagging back and forth throughout the scene, just at the thought! If we see any wet lips, it will undoubtedly be because Brand was puckered, poised and probably pretty disappointed!
But…I wasn’t there, so I don’t know what really happened!

Ya know, now that you take it apart like that, I guess he probably didn’t kiss her. But I misread it as well to interpret it as him kissing Christina. Crazy.
