People can’t stop talking about how Christina Aguilera is modeling her current look after Lady Gaga but that couldn’t be further from the truth. First off, she told MTV News that she’s not exactly on top of the latest people and trends in music because she’s been too busy to keep up right now.
More than that though, Christina said that her new look has been heavily inspired by art – not the pop culture scene but the pop art world.
“I was very inspired by the look and feel of that [pop-art] genre, your Jane Birkins, your Blondies, females who have come before who have done this so many times and so well — almost as an homage to them,” she explained. “Also, speaking of Warhol, Nico from the Velvet Underground … so it all kind of ties in to a pop-art feel and twist, with a mod look. But a futuristic taste of what’s to come.”
So there you have it, Christina is not ripping off anyone’s fashion sense. Really, I’m a little surprised by this commentary all over the Internet anyway. If anything, when I look at Lady Gaga I tend to think, “wow, she’s styling herself a lot like Christina Aguilera!” and not the other way around.

Lady GaGa is cool, but Christina’s my girl ! I don’t think she copied Lady GaGa’s look, presumably because everyone, (especially Xtina fans) knows that Xtina takes on a thousand looks, period. Case closed. lol
Mona, agreed. Plus, Christina has gone through a lot of really original looks, I don’t think she’s the type to copy someone else.
Hahahaha. I laugh at those who don’t get what Christina is about. She certainly did not copy this singer. Lady Gaga can keep her look. It doesn’t look like she’ll be dropping it soon. On the other hand, Christina will, because she’s a risk taker with an ever-changing image. I hope she goes back to black hair on her next album. I think it suits her the best!

OMG! Christina looks like a drag queen in the picture. Anyways, i used to like Christina’s music but her new stuff isn’t as good as her old, and in some way i think that she did get some inspiration from Lady G.

But to all those people on the ‘christina’ side, well isn’t it a little bit wierd that she changed her look and everything right as Lady GaGa cam into the music industry? I don’t really think it was a coincidence, Lady GaGa has been toppping the charts so maybe christina tried to copy to stay on top. And by the way christina, in my opinion hasn’t pulled the look off. I mean the hair, judging by those picsup there don’t look very cool, and the outfits are pretty bad. And trust me on this i’m a fashion designer. In the end I think i’m gunna stick up for GaGa.

Christina has copied Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga designs all her own clothing even before she was famous, she has her own style and would not copy anyone else. And to be very honest Lady Gaga suits the hair etcc soooo much more, yes, christina has had some mad styles but nothing like Lady Gaga, she is a complete breath of fresh air and completely original. Well,,Xtina is known as the singer who always change her looks and style.from a goody sweet innocent girl (1999) to a stylish girl (2000) to a little wilder (2001) to a bad wild bitchy girl (2002-03) to a negro girl (2003-04) to a high class old style lady with marilyn monroe looks (2005-08) and to a futuristic a little copy cat girl (2008-present)
I guess she dont have idea with the futuristic looks, so she copy lady GaGa’s looks.thats good but looks so not xtina.just like Gaga wannabe/sequel.she used to be a trendsetter just like ystrday,but now…she’s a follower.just change ur looks baby!i luv ur style at tell me vid clip btw..love ya!
