Christina Aguilera news just keeps gettin’ better!
The first week of September marked the public return of Christina Aguilera. Since giving birth to son Max in January, Christina has kept a very low profile and appeared in public very little. September changed all that!
On September 2nd, Christina launched Inspire, her new perfume. For its debut, Christina went back east to New York City where she had a very public launch party at Macy’s in Herald Square.
For a lucky 200 Christina Aguilera fans, Christina autographed Inspire bottles for those who had pre-purchased a specially- designed perfume set.
From there, the week just got better for the fans!
On September 3rd, Christina announced that her new Greatest Hits CD would be distributed exclusively by retail store Target. To be released on November 11th, 2008, “Keeps Gettin’ Better – A Decade of Hits” will feature two new songs as well as re-recorded versions of two other hits, “Genie in a Bottle” and “Beautiful.”

On September 4th it was announced that Christina Aguilera would be performing at the 2008 MTV VMAs in Los Angeles on September 7th. How excited were we? We then later found out that Christina would be singing Genie in a Bottle! It had been 10 years since Christina released the Genie, and she was excited to give us a new take on an old song.
On September 5th, Christina’s new song Keeps Gettin’ Better had been “leaked” to the Internet and by the end of the night, half of the pop fans throughout the world had heard it! If nuclear codes can be kept secret, so can new tracks. I use the term ‘leak’ lightly.
Finally, I posted an interview with Christina done by a German media outlet and then posted an article about how Christina Aguilera channels Priscilla Presley and looks just like her! I wasn’t the only one who noticed that as I saw someone else make the same comparison on a cosmetic surgery Web site!

Hey, what else can be said? September was Christina’s month! Well, some of it. Just Keeps Gettin’ Better.
BTW I totally have Inspire!!! It has a really nice smell to it! It’s just too bad I didn’t get mine signed. Anyhow, I’ll be getting the album too. I think the remixes rock and it’s always good to hear something new from her. I absolutely HATE artists that never change their look or their material! Glad to see she’s not one of them.
I didn’t buy Inspire, but I did get a sample spray on her official Inspire spray card. It’s not a scent that would normally smell good on me, but I do like the scent. I still have the card here on my desk and smell it every day. The fragrance is still very prevalent on the card. It smells a little musky and a little bit like baby powder, even two weeks later…if that makes any sense! I do think it’s a pretty perfume, just not one that I would wear.
