I put up a Clay Aiken 2007 in review video a few days ago but I was sent another one that I thought you Claymates might enjoy!
Clay did a lot last year including raising more than $100,000 for UNICEF (he actually surpassed their goal!). Way to go, Clay!
Here’s the video:

Oh,my goodness. That much?
OK, last post in this thread., but I see I forgot 50,000 in fund raising from January last year. Add to above.
2007 – Clay Aiken

There was the Six Degrees fund raising from January through March (there has been a lot of fund raising this year!) (Oops, raised about $43,000 and received a $10,000 grant.)

Clay giving an interview about Afghanistan on Kimmel while sitting on a horse talking about killing Osama Bin Laden and selling lots of albums because, of course, they are connected – what a treat!
We also learned that he appeared representing the state of California with the governator in Canada and attended a David Foster fund raising party. It makes you wonder how much stuff does he do that we never hear about.
Finally, there he was selling Guiarmo’s mustache on Dancing with the stars for a Jimmy Kimmel skit
.
June was quiet, just some more ticket sales.

Clay off to Mexico for UNICEF again this year and more fund raising.
Duh, I do understand math, change that from only 3/4 of a million to over 1 million for charity.
300,000
175,000
300,000
110,000
100,000
———-
985,000
+ assorted smaller amounts for about 20,000
Well, we have to bring you up to date on Clay, Clay fans and fund raising here.
In the spring Clay had a gala for BAF, he got a little carried away and joined the auction doing things like auctioning the jewelry off his hands and hugging a shirt that was up for auction and doubling the number of tickets and meet and greets for the ice show and this auction raised 300K for the Bubel-Aiken Foundation for inclusion.
Following Clay went off and took a one week visit to Afghanistan representing UNICEF. One school he visited had a bomb incident where 5 children died 3 days after he was there. On arriving home, he had a fundraiser for UNICEF which raised $175,000 in 10 days.
In the summer there were some auctions forthe concert meet and greets to benefit BAF by thousands of dollars.
In the fall, Clay appeared on Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader, earning the most money of all celebrities – $300,000 for the BAF.
For his birthday, the Clayboard raised over $10,000 for a summer camp and several thousand of books were donated to a library in the town ewhere he played a concert to honor Clay’s birthday.
He also participated in the Neil Sedaka salute where the show was a sell out and I can testify that the balconies were filled with Clay fans, this show donated all the profits tothe Elton John Aides fund.
Then there was this fund rasing effort for Clay’s Trip to Mexico where $110,000 was raised in 10 days and the money is still coming in.
Fans and other volunteers were raising probably (latest figures are not yet in) over $100,000 for the BAF through wrapping for inclusion by donating their time in the very busy Christmas time to stand in stores and malls and wrap, wrap, wrap for donations.
So this means thatr Clay Aiken , his fans and foundation supporters raised about 3/4 of a million dollars this year for charities.
I will come back with a summary of his year so that you might better understand the pictures in the year in review.
Is this too much enthusiasm?
Thanks again Jeanne. These montage makers get better all the time. I wish I could do it. Seems like a real talent. (which I don’t have. lol)
Awww, you guys are so sweet :)
That was so cool! Thanks.
This is great and gives you an insight to Clay’s sense of humor.
Loved it. Thanks for posting.
