“Broken Wings” is one of my favorite songs from the 1980s and I really liked what Clay Aiken did with it for the most part. It was in my head tonight and I thought I’d poke around YouTube for it. Here’s a video for those of you who haven’t heard it – let me know what you think of it!

Thank you, Renee!
Laura, Morgan Grace is the name of the girl who sang harmony.
Can someone please tell me who the girl is that is like singing behind him or with him or whatever? I recognize her voice and cannot place it and it’s driving me crazy right now!
I love what he did with this song. I love his voice.
This is probably my favorite of the “covers” from ATDW. He really made it his own and his voice is just beautiful on this song. Too bad it has not been widely heard. Thanks for putting it here.
Very different sound for Clay. I like it. If released to radio it would be a hit. It is nice to hear the softer sound from Clay every now and then. I like several of the songs on ATDW and think “When I See You Smile” should be his signature song. He makes all of us smile when he sings and that, I am sure, is rewarding to him.
This is also one of my favorites from the ATDW CD. The more I listen to the CD, the more I feel that it is grammy worthy.I’m not sure anymore if the grammy people are worthy of his talents…ie Amy Winehouse,etc.. The music industry has lost touch with true talent.
Sometimes I wish that the CD had been released, or at least gotten airplay without them knowing who it was, singing. It is too bad that there is a ‘stigma’ to Clay Aikens name in the media. Thanks to bad journalism tactics.
This is the best Clay Aiken vocals that exist……….so far. But wait until May 6th.
I hear there is a R and B track on it. WOW!!! Can’t wait.
Beautiful montage. Excellent rendition of this meaningful song. This man has such an awesome voice, rich, pitch perfect and so very distinctive. Loved this!!!!!
This is in my top 3 favorites from that CD. I love how he wails on this song and the girl reading the poem throughout. It’s a very unique and beautiful arrangement.
Great montage. I really like what Clay did with this song. It’s different. I especially like the ending when the title of the album was mentioned. Nice touch!
