Clay Walker There for Preteen Daughters

Singing might be his day job, but Clay Walker’s first priority is being a dad to his daughters. Twelve-year-old MaClay DaLayne and nine-year-old Skylar ClayAnne live more than two-hours away with their mother, but Clay makes the journey several times a week just to pick the girls up from school.

“Divorce is not easy for people, and it’s really some place that I never pictured myself,” said Clay.

Those teenage years are fast approaching, and while its scary Clay thinks he’ll get through unscathed.

“They’re already starting to develop their little crushes. They think the boys are cute. Not cute, excuse me. They’re hot. I’m like, OK, this is pretty scary. But I’ll deal with it.”

Clay is also dad to six-week-old William Clayton with new wife Jessica, but Clay said the birth made him “realize God made your heart big enough to hold all the love.”
