On tonight’s episode of Canada’s Next Top Model, the girls had to do a double photo shoot. First, they portrayed a geeky stylist and second they portrayed their diva alter ego. The photo shoot took place in New York so Maryam wasn’t there because of her passport issues. Instead of moping around the house, she went out and found her own photographer and the judges agreed to consider that photo in their deliberations.

Maryam was my favorite through out the whole competition. I’m really sad that she got eliminated. I really wanted her to win. She was determined and i loved that about her. She was also kind-hearted while the others were just backstabbing bitches. I hope she continues her modelling career because she excels in it. If i can reach out to her, i would tell her that.
Without Maryam I feel like they just have mediocre choices left. Maryam was kind of exceptional and unique. It’s probably better that she moves out of the competition and pursues her career legitimately on her own. She will grow at her own pace. She already has more maturity and professional ambition than the remaining girls. In a couple of years she will do well as a model while everyone will have long forgotten who won this particular contest.
Maryam if are reading this just remember you do not need to be in a challange to be a top model- you already are.
It is pretty much obvious that you liked all the girls from begining. I am sure that you were shocked to see what they were telling about you, None of those claims ar true. I am happy that you left before ther bring you down to their level. The photographers and Yasmin loved you.
Who left then? None of those girls have it. Maryam was the one.
Maryam was my favorite. I was hoping this show does not advertise a mean girl as an interesting one. Nikita is very photogenic but she is manipualtive. I will not watch the show…
THE SHOW IS RIGGED!
The judges know who they’ll pick as the winner from a very early point (if not the very beginning) and then simply drag it out to make for entertaining “Reality TV”. Ask yourself whether you really believe anyone in the fashion industry (like the judges of Canada’s Next Top Model) has the integrity, sincerity, or decency to play by any rules of professionalism.
Obviously the photo-shoot challenges mean nothing – if they did Heather would be in the top three rather than kicked to the curb so soon. By default they’d have to let Maryam go but she is just too good so the judges made the exception and looked passed all of the fake “contests” they staged. None of it really adds up to anything in their decision-making process. It’s all rubbish really.
I think it will come down to Maryam and Meaghan.
I hated this photo shoot! All the shots look cheap and terrible! Even if Myriam is the best model, they should of cut her the first time they left Canada…No Passport, No Excuses!
The editing of these photos would have been so much better if not for the over-kill of the (photoshop technique) lens flare used to distract from every image. That being said:
1) Linsay’s stylist stole the show from the image of her as her ‘Diva-alter-ego’, however she yet again is looking away from the camera… c’mon peeps!
2) Meaghan did amazing in the photoshoot, won the challenge (what was her prize btw?) and wasn’t called out first? Very strange.
3) Maryam took real initiative, and because I have seen how passport control can be difficult, I can only imagine how hard it is for her as an immigrant of Canada. That being said I am surprised she was not in the bottom two, even if just to cause drama and scare her just a tad.
4) Oh Nikita, your lack of consideration and your over-all general awful attitude will probably keep you around until at least the final three. The girl takes awesome photos, but her go-sees blew (was surprised she was not last place in that one) and she yet again showed why she is my least favourite cast member (the whole hating on nerds thing was not cool.)
5) Heather, I found you quite boring my dear and you showed your true colours in this episode. The nice demenour seemed to be a cover for catty. Balky out Maryam again when she wasn’t able to come on the trip.. tsk tsk tsk. I mean I blame your bad photo on photoshop (I love how the judges said your expression was blank when your face was almost completely bleached out by a lighting effect.) I am glad you are gone though as I didn’t see much of a progression the last couple ‘o’ weeks.
Over all some good calls and some bad, but at least these girls are learning the real model treatment and seeing it’s not all just fun and games… and a seven week trip to an exotic location.

Maryam is the reason I watch this show.
Maryam has a aura of mystry around her- It is like she is carrying the pain of all oppressed female teenagers on her shoulder. One of the judge said that he is tired of drama that surroundd Maryam. How you can deny the pain? Give her a break….
I watch this show just because of Maryam. I actualy made a lot of my friends and family to watch it.She is not lazy or un-diciplined. She is classy, and beautiful. Simply she is a new immigrant with Iranian passport. I don’t understand why judges are net telling truth about Maryam. She needs Visa to go any country in the world.
Why does Nikita have 3 legs?
I think it’s the RETOUCHING that blows on these pics. That photographer normally does awesome stuff, but the show’s producers must have done a real number on the post production.
That does look like a cheap shot. I’m torn on Maryam as my understanding is her passport issues are compounded by the fact that she’s not a Canadian citizen and has an Iranian passport so getting into the U.S. would be even more complicated. Of course, the show is at fault for casting her when they had to have been aware of it. At the very least, she should have been in the bottom two. But really, why is Linsay still there? The judges seem to not be taking past performance into consideration and just basing it on week-to-week performance.
is it bad that i only care about the leopard gecko? this shoot was incredibly boring, and that awful lighting really bothers my eyes. lens flare FTL.
Why Maryam’s pic so different to others???
The lighting was horrifically bad on this photo shoot! That aside I’m sick of all these chances Maryam’s getting! Sure she’s a great model but in the real world she wouldn’t have booked any jobs seen as she can’t fly to locations.

I really like Maryam’s picture, but I can’t help but to think, it’s just a different version of the same pose she’s already done. I think at this point, she should be eliminated for that. I’m waiting to see the episode. Also the photoshoot I feel is like a step backwards for them. They were doing so well and this shoots seems very ANTM to me.
