MTV has confirmed that “The Last Song”, starring Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, release date has been postponed. J-14 first broke the news. Is this bad news since Miley has been promoting the movie during her concert? Not at all!
A rep for Miley and statement from Disney confirmed the news saying, “The date is now April 2. We found a better release date than January for it. It will open Easter weekend/spring break.”
So, their reasoning for delaying the release date is a good one. They found a “better release date” than the January one. If you’ll remember, “Hannah Montana: The Movie” was released in April and it topped the box office! Yeah, they know what they’re doing.
It stinks that we have to wait longer to see this movie, but I agree that April is a better time frame. Besides, that now gives us all more time to read the book!
